Tree of Scraps

For my Christmas card buffet, I created a mix of current SU product cards and supplies from my stash. This card is one of my fun simple cards. I love the look of an abstract Christmas tree utilizing all those great patterned paper scraps. The best part is that this card looks different every time you make it. I can't wait to see what all the ladies create!

  • Inks: Garden Green; Real Red
  • Cardstock: Garden Green; Kraft; Scraps

SSINKTC39: Multicolored Trees

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the technique below.

I love using the baby wipe technique to add another layer of visual interest to my cards. For this one, I had fun experimenting with Totally Trees. I love how my row of multicolored trees came out! Instead of autumn colors, I decided to play with traditional Christmas colors. Very festive! I wanted the trees to be the focal point of the card, so I added a simple sentiment and few layers. At first I had the green cardstock squared up with the white, but on a whim I angle the green cardstock. And surprise, surprise, I loved it slightly askew!

  • Stamps: Totally Trees; Wonderful Year
  • Inks: Garden Green; Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive; Early Espresso
  • Cardstock: Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate; Garden Green; Real Red

Sunday Haul #27

This is the last of the planner stickers I purchased in my whirlwind of shopping for October and November. These are from Fabulously Planned on Etsy. I love the different color combo week sets. But my favorite is the Alice in Wonderland set (right side). So cute! I can't wait to use them to decorate my 2017 Happy Planner.

Washi Tape Reindeer

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite accessories from the Holiday Catalog. Anyone who knows me, knows I love washi tape! It's always on my ordering list for each new catalog. I couldn't resist the super fun and festive Pinecones and Presents Washi Tape set.

For my card, I decided to highlight this great accessory without a lot of extra supplies. After adding the sentiment and punched out reindeer, the card was missing that last touch. Thank goodness I had some enamel shapes that matched the color scheme. Perfect!

  • Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler; Early Espresso
  • Cardstock: Emerald Envy; Mint Macaron
  • Accessories: Presents and Pinecones Washi Tape; 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes

Paisley Fun

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Thanksgiving or Thank You Card. I don't usually make Thanksgiving cards, but I do make my fair share of thank you cards. For this one, I decided to play up the gorgeous Petals and Paisleys DSP and keep the rest of the card simple. The little something extra is the die cut copper leaves. I just love how they shine. Cute and simple card for today.

Detail of the beautiful Copper Foil Paper leaves.

Currently...

Watching: The Librarians is back! Yeah! It's one of our silly fun shows.

Reading: Been wanting to pick up Five Days at Memorial for months and finally got around to it this week. Good, but obviously very depressing...

Listening: Finally catching up with my One Bad Mother episodes.

Making: I'm finishing my Christmas cards for this year. Still have a few to fill some holes for my December blog posts.

Feeling: The entire household was struck down by a nasty cold last week. J is still pretty sick. A is recovering but still coughing. Q and I seem to have recovered. Yeah!

Planning: We having a few friends over for the feast on Thursday. Our menu is set, just need to organize and plan out my schedule of cooking and serving.

Loving: The boys and I drove through the canyon road the other day on the way to the store. We enjoyed looking at all the fall leaves on the way.

SSINKIC39: Thanksgiving Scarecrow

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the inspiration picture:

I was drawn to the classic muted Thanksgiving colors of the inspiration picture. So, I decided to play off those colors and feature this adorable scarecrow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set. I have so much fun coloring in these little images. So cute! After coloring him in, I choose some fun pattern paper to pull out the tablescape colors. Finally I added some ribbon and burlap to tie everything together.

  • Stamps: Cookie Cutter Halloween
  • Inks: Chocolate Chip; Night of Navy; Delightful Dijon; Crumb Cake; Perfect Plum; Old Olive
  • Cardstock: Petals and Paisleys DSP; Cajun Craz; Delightful Dijon; Very Vanilla

Sunday Haul #26

A stop at Michael's late last Sunday to take advantage of my 25% off all products coupon. I grabbed more snail and envelopes. Plus some great Happy Planner washi tape and stickers. I also stopped by Target for general house products but found some great Christmas washi in the seasonal section.

Two of my planner sticker orders came in! This haul was from Kaiden's Mom Shops.

This haul was from Fabulously Planned.

Gingerbread Swaps

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using my favorite Christmas bundle. Of course, I had to highlight the fun Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle. I keep coming back to this bundle time and again!

I also used this card as a fun swap card from some of my fellow demonstrators.  I had fun stamping all the images from the Cookie Cutter Christmas set, but I think my favorite is this sweet little gingerbread man. I decided to layer him on some fun pattern paper and coordinating circles. The card was missing that something extra until I remembered the metallic foil doilies. Perfect little addition to the card!

  • Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas
  • Inks: Garden Green; Chocolate Chip
  • Cardstock: This Christmas DSP; Cherry Cobbler; Garden Green; Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: Metallic Foil Doilies
  • Tools: Cookie Cutter Punch
