Happy Halloween!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Halloween card. I went super simple with my card today and decided to highlight the fun Halloween Night DSP. I love the fun mix of patterns and classic Halloween colors. I did add some silver foil washi tape to the one piece of paper and a little stamped sentiment to finish out the card. Now it's time to go celebrate Halloween with massive amounts of candy!

  • Stamps: Labeler Alphabet
  • Inks: Pumpkin Pie
  • Cardstock: Halloween Night DSP; Smoky Slate; Pumpkin Pie; Basic Gray; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Halloween Night Washi Tape

Candy Cane Lane Box

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a 3D Project. I choose a cute little box featuring the beautiful Candy Cane Lane DSP. This box looks complicated, but I assure you, it's super easy to put together. I followed the directions from Angie Kennedy Juda's great little video. As an added bonus, it took me less than 10 minutes to finish. Perfect for little gifts.

A side view of the box. This would be perfect to put a few chocolates into.

  • Stamps: Wrapped in Warmth
  • Inks: Real Red
  • Cardstock: Candy Cane Lane DSP; Early Espresso; Whisper White

Moroccan Star

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a washi tape card. I ended up directly CASEing a beautiful card from Leanne Johnson @ Literally My Joy. I rediscovered her card while searching for some way to incorporate washi tape and make a fun card for my card buffet class. I changed up the sentiment and colors, but kept the simple design. I love it!

  • Inks: Early Espresso
  • Cardstock: Cajun Craze; Delightful Dijob; Very Vanilla

Jar of Stars

Today's card is one I'm offering at my Christmas Card Buffet. (Click here to join my Meetup group and RSVP) I tried to have a mix of colors, designs. and products. This card is using some of the retired DSP I have stashed away. I decided to go with a nontraditional color scheme. I love the end result. The jar of stars is a cute alternative to a Christmas tree on your Christmas card.

  • Stamps:Jar of Love; old SU sentiment
  • Inks: Real Red; Basic Gray
  • Cardstock:Winter Frost DSP (retired); Real Red; Pool Party; Smoky Slate; Whisper White; Silver Glimmer Paper
  • Accessories:

SSINKTC38: Spooky Skeleton

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the technique below.

I decided to use my colored and embossed piece of cardstock to frame this little spooky skeleton. I'm especially fond of the polka dot pattern paper peeking through the oval and the edges. As a finishing touch, I added some Pumpkin Pie enamel dots to help "bling" up my card.

  • Stamps: Cookie Cutter Halloween; Labeler Alphabet
  • Inks: Pumpkin Pie; Craft White
  • Cardstock: Halloween Night DSP; Pumpkin Pie; Whisper White; Basic Black
  • Accessories: Halloween Night Enamel Dots
  • Tools: Woodgrain Embossing Folder; Ovals Framelits

Soft Flowers and Woodgrain

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of our favorite products. Even though it's not my usual style, I'm still in love with the Birthday Blooms stamp set.

For this card, I decided to play with layers and pattern paper. I embossed half of my cardstock, then added a strip of Blooms and Bliss DSP. From there I made a fun little tag with more pattern paper, stamps, and a few accessories. Such a nice and soft card.

  • Stamps: Birthday Blooms
  • Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum
  • Cardstock: Blooms and Bliss DSP; Blushing Bride; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon; Bow Paper Clips
  • Tools: Scallop Tag Topper Punch; Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Project Life August-September 2016

August -- August was a super light month when it came to photos. We didn't do as many activities due to me feeling bad and dropping down to one car again. As for the inserts and journaling cards, I pulled out WRMK's Archived kit. I don't think I've used this kit for at least a year. It was a nice change of pace.

September -- Lots of pictures and activities from September. It was our last chance to fit in a ton of events before the baby arrived. For my inserts, I took the color scheme from the September monthly card and pulled from the Kiwi kit. I love the bright colors and fun designs.

The last week of September is a special thread celebrating the arrival of baby Quentin! I love how this spread turned out! The pops of blue, green, and pink help pull all the pictures together.

CASEing the Holiday Catalog

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from page 12 of the Holiday Catalog. Here's a pic of some of the creations on page 12. I decided to CASE the Cherry Cobbler based card at the bottom of the pic.

I took the basic idea of layering some dsp and adding a sentiment and a few fussy cut trees. I switched out the dsp for washi tape and added some different embellishments to my card, but the basic idea is the same.

  • Stamps: Wrapped in Warmth; Wonderful year
  • Inks: Emerald Envy; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Presents and Pinecones DSP; Cherry Cobbler; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Presents and Pinecones Washi Tape; 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Dots; Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon
