Repeating Hearts

Today's card is another featured card at my Pattern Paper class. I love the idea of repeating shapes on a cards. For this one, I pulled a ton of coordinating purple papers and started punching out hearts. After adding those, I picked some coordinating ribbon and added a cute tag for a sentiment.

Stacked Birthday

Today's post is a departure from my Fall and Halloween cards. Who doesn't need a stash of birthday cards on hand? I always mindful of keeping a variety in my inventory. The Birthday Memories DSP is perfect for creating cute cards. For this one, I fussy cut all these cakes to create a stacked imaged. I added a piece of coordinated basic DSP and a great sentiment. For the finishing touch, I added some retired, but still great, candy dots!

Pumpkin Thanks

Today's post is a fun little pumpkin for your Friday. Easy peasy! Just die cut three large ovals and hand cut a little stem. Put them together and you have a great pumpkin! I added a stamped image from the Timeless Textures set and a bit of ink sponged onto the edges.

Quick and Easy Squares

Today's trio of cards were another attempt to use up some scrap DSP laying around. I had a ton of smaller peices of DSP (too small for a card layer), but didn't want to throw them out. I found a great repeated shape design on Pinterest and modified it for my cards. I simply die cut three squares and adhered them to a piece of slightly larger cardstock. That attached to the card base and stamped with a simple sentiment created a trio of quick and easy cards.

Mint Macaron Variant:

Watermelon Wonder Variant: Notice my boo-boo? This one will probably go into the trash, but I wanted you to see how changing the colors and patterned paper really change up the card.

So Happy Together

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a wedding or anniversary card. I found this great design on Pinterest and had to use it to create a simple yet striking card. I kept my sentiment vague to be able to use this for a wedding, an engagement, or an anniversary. I didn't love the entirety of the Falling in Love DSP Paper Stack, but the bokeh pieces were amazing! This piece was my favorite.

SSINKCC44: Spring Flowers

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the following colors:

For today's card, I immediately knew that I wanted to make something features flowers. It's spring here in California, and surprisingly, the ground is still green! I wanted to make a card celebrating that. So I stamped and cut some flowers and leaves to create a little bouquet. I figured out a way to incorporate the Chocolate Chip color as a fun background. Perfect combination!

We are always excited to hear from our followers! If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I decided to feature a simple love card featuring the beautifully simple Sending Love DSP. I'm not huge on Valentine's Day cards and all the red and pink, so I tend to go pretty simple wth my cards. For today's card, I focused on the heart shape and our Sending Love DSP. No extras embellishments or layers. I love how simple the cards is. One of my favorites.

Another fun heart card. Once I got started, I couldn't stop myself from making another card...

Simple Gift Card Holder

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a 3D Valentine's Day project. I'm not big on Valentine's Day projects, so I made my own little project that could be perfect for Valentine's Day or lots of other occasions. This project was so incredibly easy to make! Main cardstock:

  • cut 5" x 8"
  • score long side at 2" and 5 1/2"
  • use adhesive along sides and the bottom edge (to create a "shelf" for your insert)

DSP:

  • cut 2 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and 1 7/8″ x 4 7/8″

Cardstock band:

  • cut 1 1/4" x 8"

Make the label. I used two layering circle framelits.

Inside: perfect for a gift card or a little love note.

  • Stamps: Love and Affection; Happy Happenings
  • Inks: Watermelon Wonder; Daffodil Delight; Blushing Bride
  • Cardstock: Affectionately Yours DSP; Watermelon Wonder; Whisper White
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Layering Circles Framelits
