Watching: Somehow we got behind on Last Week Tonight. We have been rectifying that oversight this week.

Reading: Finally got Rat Queens Vol. 3 from the library. I read about half of it yesterday while at the indoor play place. Hoping to finish the volume today.

Listening: Quentin's been having some gas issues resulting in baby screeches. He's only happy laying on me.

Making: Finally getting back to crafting. My first project is getting our Project Life albums up to date. The family one is almost done. Arthur's is up to date to the end of September. I've started on Quentin's album.

Feeling: I have a three week old baby. Consequently, I am tired. That is all.

Planning: Thinking about November. Starting to fill our calendar.

Loving: Last night I had a beer for dinner. Oh how I missed you!

SSINKIC38: Jar of Bats

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the inspiration picture:

I decided to make a Halloween card using the colors I found in the picture. I want to featured the great Halloween Night DSP and the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper. From there, I decided to add some Halloween stamps but didn't want to just use one of the big images from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set. Instead, I used the cute little bat in the set. Instead of just stamping the bat, I filled a jar full of bats and had them spill out. Such a fun card!

Stacked Beasties

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of the awesome Halloween stamps in the Holiday Catalog. As soon as I saw the Cookie Cutter Halloween set, I knew I had to have it! I wanted to highlight the cute little beasties, so I decided to stack them in "windows" using some coordinating cardstock and the gorgeous Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper. Seriously, it is so sparkly! I love it! For my background, I doctored the dsp adding some pumpkin pie splatters and bats. I finished my card with a few strips of washi tape. With everything going on, I decided to forego a sentiment. I love this little card!

Ribbons and Twine

Well, the SSINK Design Team pulled a fast one on me. I had this post all set-up for a blog hop, but it turns out they did a special baby shower post for me. Check it out here.  The ladies made such cute little projects! But I still made a card for our supposed Ribbons and Twine blog hop. Check it out below! The challenge was to create a card using ribbon or twine from the Holiday Catalog. I didn't end up buying any ribbon or twine, but I did buy the awesome Metallic Thread Combo featuring Emerald Envy and Cherry Cobbler. I love how the thread adds a little bit of shine to projects. It's hard to see in the pictures on the blog, but the Emerald Envy thread adds a ton of personality to this rather simple card.

SSINKCS38: Three Foxy Friends

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the sketch below.

I decided to make a card full of Foxy Friends. These three cute little friends were then layered onto some coordinating cardstock matching the Moroccan DSP. They came together on the card but something was missing. Thankfully I had some coordinating enamel shapes and washi tape to finish off the card.

I got so excited about watching the Periscope showing off all the soon-to-be-released Happy Planner products that I went only and bought some planner accessories from Blitsy. I grabbed:

Colorful Jar

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a quick and easy card.  I whipped out this fun and colorful card for my All Occasions Card Buffet last month. I love the fun circles and colors. All told, this card took me less than 10 minutes to complete.

October DSP Special!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of the DSP packs on special. For the month of October, buy three packs of qualifying paper packs and get one free! I love when SU runs this once a year deal. For my card, I focused on the Blooms and Bliss DSP. I love the pinks and purples for half the pack and the blues and greens for the other half of the pack. Along with using the beautiful patterned paper, I also tried out a new-to-me technique: aluminum foil embossing! It was so easy and makes a nice addition to the card.

Watching: J and I have been watching all the movies while home with the new baby. This past week we've watched Ghostbusters, Independence Day 2, and Captain America Civil War.

Reading: In the newborn haze and I can't deal with heavy books. So I turned to fluffy romances read on my iPad.

Listening: Q is a big talker already. He loves making little noises while awake.

Making: Q is constantly eating. Hence, making tons of bottles.

Feeling: One week out from a c-section and I'm feeling sore, but improving. Every day I feel like I'm gaining more movement and energy.

Planning: Sending J and the toddler to the grocery store to stock up, but need to make the meal plan and grocery list.

Loving: Oh my! I forgot how much I love newborn snuggles. Q loves to burrow into my side and sleep during the day. I can't do it all the time, but I do love a few minutes of snuggles.

SSINKCC38: Paisley Wreath

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the colors below.

Turns out that I ran out of Tip Top Taupe Cardstock and din't realize it! Darn! Oh well, plan B. Use a similar color. In this case, I subbed Soft Suede. It's darker than Tip Top Taupe, but in the same color family. I ended up CASEing a gorgeous card from Brian King. It was too pretty to pass up! I changed up the sentiment and the colors and added just a bit of sponging around the edges.
