Cup of Christmas

To finish out this year’s Christmas cards, I stuck with the same washi sheets and color palette as the last card. I changed out my dies and made a cute little card featuring festive coffee mugs.

I made a variation with a different color scheme:

Heartfelt Wishes

I wanted to use my ridiculous stash of washi tape for some kind of card, but I couldn’t figure out what exactly. So I covered a sheet of white cardstock with strips of washi and started cutting things out. This card was the result of one of my experiments. I love how the washi creates it’s own DSP to be the focal point. I kept my sentiment simple and added an embossed layer for texture.

Washi Celebration

3.png

Today’s card features just a few rolls from my washi tape collection. I have so much washi and only use it in my planner spreads. But I pulled some pretty ones out and created my own background piece for this simple card.

Llama Birthday

3.png

Today’s card is quick and easy! Sometimes you just don’t have a lot of time to make a card, but you still want the design to be fun and interesting. Enter washi tape! I have a giant wire basket full of random washi tape just waiting to be used. So i dug through and pulled out this awesome llama roll to feature. From there, I just found some rolls that looked good together and started adding them to a piece of white paper. A simple sentiment and punched heart finished off my card.

Washi Tape Christmas

Today’s card set are a CASE from Amy Koenders. I love the simplicity of a big sentiment and some Washi tape. I pulled some sentiments and Washi tape from stash and put together four slightly different cards.

Put a Bow On It

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from fellow Design Team member Nichole Loe. You can find Nichole at Scrappy Stamps and Ink. I decided to CASE this gorgeous and yet sparse card from January. I love the layers and the bits of sparkle and shine.  And so I looked at my stamp sets and tired to find one that I thought would look good in the design. I settled on the Picture Perfect Birthday and Playful Backgrounds Stamp sets. From there, I just started layering. Love how this card came together and especially the pops of sparkle!

Rainbow Birthday

Today I'm featuring not one card, but an entire set of 12 cards! I saw a similar card idea on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it using all 12 Stampin' Blends colors and a ton of scrap DSP pieces. I tried to use only scrap pieces of DSP from my giant scrap box. I love how this design makes great use of scraps. After stamping and coloring, I added the stamped image to my DSP with glue but also added a strip of decorative washi tape. These cards were so much fun to put together. I loved finding paper, color, and washi tape combos in my stash. P.S. This card is being featured at my Quick and Easy class. Participants can choose which color they want.

Snowflake Reindeer

For this card, I CASEd the lovely Martha Inchley @ Inch of Creativity. Hands down my favorite card I made with the Merry Patterns Stamp set. I love the repeating reindeer outline on the Crumb Cake piece, but my favorite part is the snowflakes. Those metallic snowflakes have been my favorite accessory from the Holiday Catalog.

Pirate Thank Yous

Today's post is the first of my series celebrating Arthur and Quentin's Pirate Birthday party. Being the crafter, I had to make a ton of decorations and bits and bobs with the pirate theme. I needed to make some thank you cards, settled on a design, and then couldn't decide which image to use. Instead of deciding, I made multiple of each. I stamped a bottle with different fillings (whale, octopus, or pirate ship) and fussy cut the bottles out. From there I stamped a fun background on my kraft paper with repeating images. Time consuming, but I do love the effect. The addition of the gold glitter washi tape was the perfect finishing touch. Loved these cards!

From the Sky

A fun card today featuring some more retired paper and a current embossing folder and sentiment. I still have some leftover Carried Away DSP (how? I know, it's a mystery to me) and decided to create a fun layered card with one of the pieces. I didn't have enough for a full card base, but I did have enough to create a partial card base. To add something to the card, I embossed the layer piece of Peekaboo Peach with the current Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. Before embossing, I added a strip of random watercolor-esque washi tape I had in my stash. If gives just enough to create a finished effect. Love this card!
