Simple Daisy Birthday

3.png

Today’s card is another attempt to use some great scrap pieces of DSP. I loved the Delightful Daisy DSP pack and have a few scraps left over. I pulled those, started layering, and came up with this design. I added a simple stamped daisy and sentiment to finish off the card.

Blue Butterfly Scraps

Today’s card is another random scrap card. I dug through my scrap pile and found all these cute pieces featuring blue and yellow. I found a similar design on an old Pinterest board and modified it to my own supplies. Really love this bright card!

Apple and Mango

3.png

A quick and easy card for today. I took a piece of black and white paper, cut it in two, and rolled on some ink. Easy peasy to create a fun background. I finished my card off with some cute coordinating enamel shapes from my stash.

Llama Birthday

3.png

Today’s card is quick and easy! Sometimes you just don’t have a lot of time to make a card, but you still want the design to be fun and interesting. Enter washi tape! I have a giant wire basket full of random washi tape just waiting to be used. So i dug through and pulled out this awesome llama roll to feature. From there, I just found some rolls that looked good together and started adding them to a piece of white paper. A simple sentiment and punched heart finished off my card.

Time for Scraps

Today's card is a great example of how to use scraps to create a beautiful card. I took a ton of 1 inch strips from my Dear Lizzy Documented stack and pulled my favorite patterns. From there I just created a scattered pattern on a piece of white cardstock. I finished off the card with a simple sentiment.

Autumn Leaf Triptych

Today's post is a throwback card using some of my retired items. I wanted to use my Magnificent Maple stamp for a fun autumn card. I thought about doing a triptych of some kind, but was unsure of how. And then I stumbled upon this card from Crafty Caroline Creates. Using the blocks as stamps was the perfect idea of how to create visual interest for my triptych. I inked up my small block, sprayed with water, and stamped to create this fun look. After letting those dry, I stamped on my leaf image. A simple sentiment and some jute twine finished off my card.

Inspired by a Rug Advertisement

Pinterest apparently thought I really wanted to buy some rugs and suggested this pin. I don't need any rugs, but I did find the image inspiring for my own card.

I pulled out my collection of random scraps and created a rainbow of pieces. From there I figured out my size of rectangle and started cutting. And this is what I came up with. I really like this design and should make some more cards.

Peekaboo Hello

Today's card was an attempt to use more of my retired DSP. I still had a few pieces of the beautiful Affectionately Yours DSP laying around in my scrap box. One piece was big enough to create this great peekaboo card for today. I kept my sentiment simple to keep the focus on the paper. As a last touch, I added a candy dot to the fold.

Simple Washi Tape Card

A duo of fun and simple washi tape cards. I have an entire bin of washi tape just sitting in my cabinets. I decided I really need to use them more. So I pulled out some fun retired Stampin' Up! washi tape to create these two different cards. First I hand drew a fun little border on my white cardstock. Then I adhered some washi tape strips. From there, I added a nice sentiment (seriously love the Better Together Stamp Set for great bigger sentiments). To finish, I added some sequins. Simple, yet great cards!

  • Stamps: Better Together; Four You (retired)
  • Inks: Basic Black; Melon Mambo
  • Cardstock: Melon Mambo; Smoky Slate; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Gold Sequins Trim; Silver Sequin Trim; Variety of Stampin' Up! washi tape (retired)

Sweet Little Cupcake Girl

Today's challenge was to use something that isn't my first choice. Everyone who knows me, knows I'm not big on the more cutesy papers and stamp sets. I tend to lean towards the geometric or floral patterns. So the Birthday Memories DSP pack is not one of my go-tos. I had some leftover from my paper share, and I challenged myself to use it in some way. I came up with this sweet little cupcake girl card! The little girl framed by cupcakes just begged to be die cut using the Oval Framelits. After creating the focal point of the card, I turned to the fun new embossing paste. In fact, this was the first card I made using the new embossing paste. I added a bit of Blushing Bride ink to the paste to create a fun diamond textured background. After a bit of practice, I've really gotten the hang of the embossing paste. Such a fun new tool!
