A Washi Tape Christmas

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features another great Christmas card. I have an addiction to washi tape so of course I wanted to use it on a Christmas card. This card design is so simple, but I love all the patterns and colors.

Nutcracker GC Holders

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a Christmas card challenge. This month I also joined Punk Projects for their 30 Days of Christmas Cards challenge.

For today's project, I decided to move beyond a greeting a card and made a few gift card holders. These are incredibly easy to make. Cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 2" and 6". Fold. Glue down the bottom flap. Add some patterned paper and a belly band and voila! Instant gift card holder! For these ones, I added a cute little nutcracker embellishment to help finish off the look!

I did a few more GC holders of different looks, colors, and papers.

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 21

Another fun card featuring Festival of Trees and Seasonal Snapshot 2015. I was just about to glue this card down but realized I was missing a few elements. I quickly embossed the strip of Mossy Meadow to give the card some texture. Lastly, I added the tree silhouettes to the circle sentiment to help fill the white space. Perfect!

SSINKIC26: Spooky Spooky

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun photo inspiration challenge! This photo screams Halloween to me, so I had to make a card that matched!

I took my cues from the color scheme of the apples: purple, green, and brown. From there, I decided to make a jack-o-lantern card, but one that incorporated a lot of color. I pulled out my Happy Patterns mask and had some fun with color! From there, I added a simple pumpkin globe. The card still felt too plain. So I finished it off with a sparkly sentiment. Perfect!

  • Stamps: Sparkly Seasons
  • Inks: Basic Black; Tangelo Twist; Mossy Meadow; Blackberry Bliss
  • Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss; Whisper White; Black Glimmer Paper
  • Accessories: Happy Patterns Decorative Mask
  • Tools: Seasonal Frames Framelits

Welcome to the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog hop! This month we are welcoming fall! As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 5 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop -  Literally My Joy. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

For the blog hop, I wanted to highlight some of my fun Halloween stamps. Instead of using some DSP, I made my own. Jack-o-lantern faces and bats make a perfect background paper. From there, I added some cute washi tape and a fun pumpkin embellishment. Overall, it's a simple card, but full of images.

Spooky Jack-O-Lantern

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Halloween card. I don't make many Halloween cards, but I love the holiday. Thankfully I bought the great Sparkly Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Frames die that includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas images.

I also bought the beautiful new black glimmer paper. I had to include that paper into my card somehow. I stamped and die cut this cute jack-o-lantern and adhered it to a little rectangle of black glimmer paper. I thought it looked a little plain on the piece of Tangerine Tango, so I added some newly bought Timeless Elegance DSP. It still looked a little plain, so I added some washi tape on top of the Very Vanilla stripes. Much better! Now this is a Halloween card!

  • Stamps: Sparkly Seasons
  • Inks: Tangerine Tango, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black
  • Cardstock: Timeless Elegance DSP, Black Glimmer Paper, Tangering Tango, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss

  • Tools: Seasonal Frames Thinlits

SSINKMC25: Drip Dry Pumpkin

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our Mystery Challenge Rules. What to do? I decided to include a pumpkin, watercolor, and a framelit.

I saw a new watercolor technique on Pinterest a few weeks back. I had to try is out! Basically you wet your watercolor paper, squirt some ink onto the top of the paper, and hold it up to let it drip down. This was my first attempt at the technique, but I'm sure I'll be trying it again soon! After adding the pumpkin, I layered some DSP and a stamped image. I finished the card with some burlap twine.

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015; Sparkly Seasons
  • Inks: Tangerine Tango, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey
  • Cardstock: Watercolor paper; Crumb Cake; Into the Woods DSP; Whisper White
  • Accessories: 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon
  • Tools: Seasonal Frames Framelits; Ovals Framelits

Let It Snow

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features my favorite bundle from the Holiday Catalog. Turn to page 40 and you'll spy this great bundle including Sparkly Seasons and Seasonal framelits!

I had to buy this bundle! I made this card for our demo swap. I wanted to play with the snowglobe image. I stamped the snowman but he seemed a little plain. So I grabbed some markers and colored his hat and scarf.  Better but not done. Finally it dawned on me to add some snow. It's subtle, but I love the falling snow inside the snowglobe. Very festive!

Nutcracker Ornament

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to feature one of the great products from the new Holiday Catalog. Demonstrators were able to preorder from the catalog starting on August 4th. I jumped at the chance to get some new products.

I snapped up the bundle including the Sparkly Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Frame Thinlits. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this stamp set. You'll be seeing a few cards made from this set in the next few months. I had a lot of coloring my nutcracker ornament. I stuck with the traditional red and green color palette, but the varying shades really make this card pop!
