Happy Mother's Day!

Today at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration we're celebrating Mother's Day! (It's this Sunday remember!) I love making floral cards for Mother's Day. Maybe it's because my mom owned a flower shop... For today's card, I had to use my favorite retiring color, Mint Macaron. Night of Navy looks amazing next to Mint Macaron, so I decided to play off the color combo. I also love making triptych cards, so I combined the colors and the design for this great card! The white ink takes forever to dry, but I think it was worth it.

  • Stamps: Love and Affection
  • Inks: Craft White Ink; Night of Navy
  • Cardstock: Mint Macaron; Night of Navy; Whisper White; Basic Black
  • Accessories: Rhinestones
  • Tools: Botanical Builder Framelits

My card features my favorite Sale-a-Bration item: Tasty Trucks Stamp Set. This little truck is too cute and can be made into so many different styles. To finish the card, I added a trio of gold enamel circles.

I decided to feature a simple love card featuring the beautifully simple Sending Love DSP. I'm not huge on Valentine's Day cards and all the red and pink, so I tend to go pretty simple wth my cards. For today's card, I focused on the heart shape and our Sending Love DSP. No extras embellishments or layers. I love how simple the cards is. One of my favorites.

Another fun heart card. Once I got started, I couldn't stop myself from making another card...

Let It Snow

Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration blog hop! This month we are creating winter themed cards. As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! I played around with a few designs and color schemes before settling on this fun and wintery shaker snowman. While the design is simple, the card has a ton of fun elements to punch it up. I embossed the piece of Whisper White, added more shape to my snowman with the die cut, and added some fun silver and Flirty Flamingo stars. While I live in California (the part where it doesn't snow), the boys and I are spending Christmas at my mom's house in Indiana. And we get some actual snow this year! So to everyone in cold climates, let it snow!

I chose to CASE this great card from Diana Eichfeld. I always love her cards. She has great attention to the little details in card making! For my CASE, I went a bit more simple, but kept the idea of the layout and layering of DSP. Apparently, I am really digging the purple and blue color combo lately. I've made four different cards using varying shades of purple and blue just this week!

SSINK September 2016 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration blog hop! This month we are creating ABC 123 cards. That's 1 stamp set, 2 pattern papers, and 3 embellishments.  As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 3on the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Blog Hop – Carrie @ Carrie Stamps. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

September's theme was mystery supplies. We've done mystery supplies in the past and always had so much fun! I'm glad we brought the idea back for the blog hop. Each participating member sent a collection of random supplies to another member. The receiver had to create a card featuring those items. These are the items I received from Darla:

I was excited to see these supplies as I don't have the Playful Palette Paper Stack. I decided to use all the pieces given, play off the colors in the DSP, and make a fun birthday card. I added the background stamp, sentiment, and enamel shapes to compliment the banner, ribbon, and balloons. I love how colorful this card turned out. Very cute!

  • Stamps: Playful Backgrounds; Suite Sayings
  • Inks: Peekaboo Peach; Sweet Sugarplum
  • Cardstock: Playful Palette DSP; Very Vanilla; Peekaboo Peach; Sweet Sugarplum
  • Accessories: In Color Enamel Shapes; Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon
  • Tools: Balloon Bouquet Punch

SSINK August 2016 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration blog hop! This month we are creating ABC 123 cards. Each card needed to have one stamp set, two paper patterns, and three embellishments. I decided to play off the beautiful patterns and colors of the Moroccan DSP. I didn't initially fall for this pack of paper, but I've found myself wanting to pick up and use it more and more lately. Yea for me not hoarding paper like I usually do. So I layered some of the patterned paper on top of coordinating cardstock. The middle was pretty empty, so I added this beautiful die cut butterfly. For my embellishments, I pulled out the Dapper Denim color for the washi tape and ribbon. And went tone-on-tone with the Emerald Envy enamel shapes.

  • Stamps: Happy Happenings
  • Inks: Early Espresso
  • Cardstock: Moroccan DSP; Early Espresso; Emerald Envy; Delightful Dijon; Cajun Craze
  • Accessories: Moroccan Washi Tape; Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon; 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes
  • Tools: Bold Butterfly Framelits; Lots of Labels Framelits

July's blog hop theme was summer. What's more summer-like than enjoying the great outdoors? I decided to play with a friend's Sheltering Tree set and make a fun summer tableau. I always seem to use a lot of pink during the spring and summer months. For this card, I layered on the pink with some great green grass and a bright yellow sun.

  • Stamps: Sheltering Tree; Kinda Eclectic (sun rays)
  • Inks: Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive, Basic Black, Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight
  • Cardstock: Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Whisper White

For this month's blog hop, I had to use items from the Botanical Gardens Suite. I love every bit of this suite! I started my card with the idea to use the Botanical Garden Washi tape. I do so love my washi tape. From there I did a bit of layering with the cardstock and added a sentiment. To finish off the card, I die cut a few flower pieces and layered them onto the card. The last piece was the addition of a candy dot.

  • Stamps: Friendly Wishes; Botanical Blooms
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow
  • Cardstock: Botanical Gardens DSP; Mossy Meadow; Old Olive; Crushed Curry
  • Accessories: Botanical Gardens Washi Tape; Candy Dots
