Folded Flowers

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a fabulous flowers card. Instead of stamping with flowers, I decided to focus on some of our gorgeous floral DSP. This particular piece is from the Cake Soiree DSP pack. I featured this card at April's stamp club where we scored and folded to create this amazing double pleated fold. For the measurements and tutorial, check out Julie @ The Way We Stamp.

As a bonus, you are left with four great triangles from cutting the DSP. I used those triangles to make a bonus card! All the ladies at stamp club picked different DSP and really made this card their own. Love it!

Spring Jar of Flowers

Today's card is a riot of spring flowers. When I want to make a colorful card, I often turn to the Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating Framelits. I love making floral cards! For this one, I layered a ton of flowers to create my jar of flowers, heat embossed a piece of vellum to create the jar, and added a ton fo fun texture to finish the card. I've been playing with texture lately and love how this card has real texture (ribbon, tinsel, embossed panel) and perceived texture (wood grain dsp). Such a great all occasions card!

A Hug for You

Today's post was another Pinterest inspired card. I found a very similar card from a great cardmaker and have now misplaced the link. If it was your card that I saw, send me a note so I can like to you as my inspiration! Back to the card. I love the layering bits on this one. The layers add a great level of texture to the card.

Lots of Love CASE

Today's card is a straight CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from the Stampin' Up! catalog. I just love the multitude of layers, textures, and patterns of this card. I loved this card so much that it will be a featured card at October's Stamp Club.

Build a Wedding Cake

Today's card is all about the Build a Birthday Stamp Set. Instead of my usual birthday cakes, I decided to make a wedding cake! I saw a similar idea on Pinterest and ran with it. I created a multiple layer cake and decorated it with some great little flowers. After cutting out my weddign cake, the background looked a little plain so I added a great embossed piece. Love this card!

Elegant Birdcage

Today's card is being featured on Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using a favorite retiring stamp set. I'm going to be so sad to lose the Birdcage Builder stamp set. I love that you can make multiple differently designed birdcages using the pieces. For today's card, I decided to create one simple birdcage with a background of flowers. Such an elegant birdcage! From there, I embossed a piece of Mint Macaron using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. As a last touch, I added a length of Organza Ribbon. Unfortunately the ribbon is already sold out! Order your Birdcage Builder Stamp Set soon before it retires!
