Just a simple little card for your Halloween Day! (I'm trying to use up all my retired paper and products.)
Christmas is creeping closer... and my two craft fairs are even closer! And I haven't made a single Christmas card for this year! Last year, I had all my Christmas cards down and mailed by Thanksgiving. I may not accomplish that this year, but I definitely need a jump on them. I was directed to this awesome challenge hosted by Punk Projects. Join me and others as we made at least one Christmas card (or project) a day for the month of November. Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a current favorite of mine: Sprinkles of Life stamp set. Actually, this set isn't mine. I borrowed it from a friend for the month, but I have fell in love with the set. In total, I've made six different card variations in just a few weeks. I'm getting all the use of this stamp set before I give it back.
For this card, I decided to play off of the natural colors of trees and use more of favorite Cherry on Top DSP. I found some coordinating pattern paper in the stack and had fun layering it in a nontraditional way. I love all the white space on this card. It reminds me of fresh and bright interiors. Love it!
I went super simple for September. I somehow got so busy that I forgot to print my pictures until three days ago. So I finally got my pictures sorted and printed and ready to go. I got my pages done in two days!
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the For All Things stamp set. I actually won this set at a Stampin' Up Demonstrator event in September 2014. It's been my favorite fall/Thanksgiving stamp set since. It was nice to pull it back out for this season!
I went with a very simple design with a lot of white space. I think the little acorn and burlap pieces really complete the card.
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our Mystery Challenge Rules. What to do? This month I went with Burlap, Island Indigo, and Thanks.
Instead of a card, I decided to make a little Thanksgiving treat box. Wouldn't these look adorable as place settings for Thanksgiving dinner? I sponged on some ink to the bottom of the box to give the paper a little something extra. I then added the sentiment tag for a fun pop of color. I think the little wooden leaf really makes the box! And the burlap is a great texture instead of using regular ribbon.
It was Stampin' Up Club Order delivery week! I went fairly light on my order this month as I'm taking a break from club and classes from Thanksgiving to New Years. I snapped up some glue dots (essential), Cherry Cobbler Twine, Creatively Yours stamp set, Washi Label Punch.
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Halloween card. I don't send many Halloween cards, but I love the stamp sets and images related to the holiday. I resolved to buy only one Halloween stamp set and ended up with three. Okay, that's a bit of a lie. The three Halloween stamps sets that I bought aren't just for Halloween. All three include images or sayings that can be used for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
For this card, I am using two of the stamp sets and some unusually card elements. I love Project Life, so I had to buy the PL Seasonal Snapshot 2015 bundler. While making a Halloween card, I thought some of the PL cards would be perfect as a layering piece. The card came with the gray bats and moon already printed. I took the Seasonal Snapshot stamp set and added more bats to fill out the card. I also cut out a bat from another PL card to add as embellishment. From there, I added the sentiment from the hostess set: Six Sayings. To finish off the card, I added some washi tape from the Happy Hauntings pack. The card ended up being nontraditional, but I love it!
Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a card made with my favorite DSP. Even though it's been around since June, I am still in love with my Cherry on Top Paper Stack. The fun patterns and bright colors keep calling me back!
I decided to use one of the busier patterns as a base for a fun card. Thankfully a friend lent me her Sprinkles of Life stamp set. It works perfectly with the paper. I stamped and punched/cut out a simple ice cream cone to fill out the center of my card. I used the colors from the pattern paper and added some layered cardstock. I finished the card with a few Bermuda Bay candy dots.
Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun photo inspiration challenge! This photo screams Halloween to me, so I had to make a card that matched!
I took my cues from the color scheme of the apples: purple, green, and brown. From there, I decided to make a jack-o-lantern card, but one that incorporated a lot of color. I pulled out my Happy Patterns mask and had some fun with color! From there, I added a simple pumpkin globe. The card still felt too plain. So I finished it off with a sparkly sentiment. Perfect!
