30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 8

I bought these Christmas tags last year from the clearance rack and promptly forgot about them in the Christmas supply box. Thank goodness I rediscovered them! These are perfect use as layering pieces on greeting cards. I added some other DSP and afew punched circles. As final touches, I added some washi tape and my favorite accessory: candy dots!

Sunday Haul #33

I picked up some great supplies this past week. I grabbed some Christmas items for upcoming projects (Holiday albums, Christmas cards, December Daily pages). I also got some random supplies (envelopes, snail, numbers for calendars) and some display items for my upcoming bazaars.

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 7

A fun tree-filled card for today. (Yeah I'm still using the Festival of Trees stamp set!) I stacked a few trees to one side and a large sentiment on the right side. This really is one of my favorite cards that I've made this month. Country is not a style that I gravitate towards, but I'm loving it for this card!

A couple of variations for the stack.

  • Stamps: Six Sayings; Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Old Olive; Cherry Cobbler; Pear Pizzaz
  • Cardstock: Trim the Tree DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Doilies
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Star Punch

Holiday Bazaar Crafts (non-cards)

Along with a large pile of Christmas cards, I always like to have a few non-greeting card products available for sale at the craft fairs. This year, I went with a few cards sets made from old cards laying around the cart area. Those were already made and just needed to be packaged. But my big project was a large set of Modified Notebooks and some Baker's Boxes filled with candy. I managed to create all of these in about three days!

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 6

A fairly simple card, but sometimes simple cards are the best! I added the "snow" using a pencil eraser and craft white ink. I love the random flakes. A few simple trees and a sentiment completes the card.

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015; Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Real Red; Craft White
  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake;
  • Accessories: Snowflake Sequins

Lovely DSP

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features my other attempt at creating my own DSP. This time I repeated the heart stamp from Chalk Lines covering the entire paper. The darker strip I heat embossed with gold embossing powder. (I know it looks black here, but I promise it's a very shiny gold) The spacing didn't quite turn out like I wanted, but overall it's a cute idea!

  • Stamps: Chalk Lines; Friendly Wishes
  • Inks: Basic Black; Melon Mambo; Blushing Bride; Versamark
  • Cardstock: Melon Mambo; Whisper White

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 5

For today's card, I'm again using the awesome retired Festival of Prints paper stack. I decided to run with some diagonal paper strips to create my background. Apparently I'm really digging my Festival of Trees stamp set lately... Prepare to see it for a few more days.

  • Stamps: Festival of Trees; Christmas Bliss
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Festival of Prints DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Very Vanilla; Pear Pizzaz; Gold
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Star Punch

Thanksgiving Project Life

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a card made using Project Life x Stampin' Up products. I love the coordinating card collections, accessories, and stamp sets that SU offers. As an added bonus the PL collections are exclusive to SU and coordinate with our colors. Perfect combos!

I snapped up the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 bundle so I could have pieces for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (it also has Back to School items, but my little is only 2 so those will be used in something else). Unfortunately, I don't have pictures yet for Halloween or Thanksgiving. So I decided to use the PL supplies and make a nice Thanksgiving card. The only piece I modified is the large leaf. Originally the leaf was on a 3x4 card. I cut it out and stamped on the greeting. Layer that onto some pattern paper (a 4x6 card cut down to size) and finish off with some cute wood veneers and stickers.

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Stamp Set
  • Inks: Cajun Craze; Mossy Meadow
  • Cardstock: Cajun Craze; Seasonal Snapshot 2015 Card Collection

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 4

Two variations of a nice clean design today. I always forget that I own this stars confetti punch. I love the look of having the Old Olive paper peek through. Beyond the stars, I went very clean with a simple palette. I'm a huge fan of these cards.

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 3

Day 3's card celebrates my love of washi tape! I have a huge bin of washi tape and I still buy more when I end up at Michael's or Joann's. For this card, I used washi tape from Stampin' Up. I love that they now sell washi tape that coordinates with all their colors. I love this card so much! I may have to make a few more.

  • Inks: Old Olive; Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive; Whisper White
