A Flock of Bird Cards

Today’s cards were half of the featured Make N Takes at my Spring Bingo event. Each Bingo participant received a goody bag with four variously colored cardstock bases, six 6x6 pieces of Naturally Eclectic DSP, two yards of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon, a strip of White Accents, and four metallic doilies. From those supplies, the ladies made two cards at the Bingo event leaving plenty of supplies to take home and use later. For inspiration, I made four different cards using the same supplies.

Put a Bow On It

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from fellow Design Team member Nichole Loe. You can find Nichole at Scrappy Stamps and Ink. I decided to CASE this gorgeous and yet sparse card from January. I love the layers and the bits of sparkle and shine.  And so I looked at my stamp sets and tired to find one that I thought would look good in the design. I settled on the Picture Perfect Birthday and Playful Backgrounds Stamp sets. From there, I just started layering. Love how this card came together and especially the pops of sparkle!

Rainbow Birthday

Today I'm featuring not one card, but an entire set of 12 cards! I saw a similar card idea on Pinterest and knew I wanted to recreate it using all 12 Stampin' Blends colors and a ton of scrap DSP pieces. I tried to use only scrap pieces of DSP from my giant scrap box. I love how this design makes great use of scraps. After stamping and coloring, I added the stamped image to my DSP with glue but also added a strip of decorative washi tape. These cards were so much fun to put together. I loved finding paper, color, and washi tape combos in my stash. P.S. This card is being featured at my Quick and Easy class. Participants can choose which color they want.

Photos of You

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a celebrations card.  I challenged myself to make a card using a ton of DSP and no stamping. And look what I did! I die cut some great DSP squares, fussy cut three cameras, and die cut the "celebrate you." After laying out my card, I went back and added a piece of coordinating ribbon to give more texture and layers. Love this festive card.

Quick and Easy Layers

Today’s card is being featured at my DSP Part 2 class featured in later March and April. (See the Crafty Events on the homepage for full details.) I added multiple pieces of DSP to create a fun layered look.  A simple card, but very striking! For class, participants get to create this card with their choice of DSP combos.

Brusho Triptych

Today’s card is being featured at my Coloring Class in late March and April. (Check out the Crafty Events on the homepage for full details.) I love playing with Brusho and knew I had to create this awesome Brusho triptych card after seeing a similar one on Pinterest. (Unfortunately the image had a dead link attached otherwise I would link to it.) I simply sprinkled on blue, red, and yellow Brusho Crystals to pieces of Petal Passion DSP, spritzed with water, added more crystals, spritzed, and finally let dry. When using Stampin' Up!'s DSP paper with Brusho, be careful! The paper is fairly thin and too much water can ruin it. I applied a little bit of water at a time to reach the desired effect.

Layered Birthday

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a spring card. I always think flowers when I thinks spring. Pulling out my oldie but a goodie Flower Shop stamp set was the perfect choice. I stamped and punched some flowers, layering on top of an oval sentiment. From there I added a frame of embossed cardstock to complete the look.

  • Cardstock: Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Whisper White

Fun Party Pandas

How about a trio of cute pandas for today? At first, I wasn't drawn to these pandas as my SAB pick, but then I saw all the amazing cards others made. I knew I had to get them. And since then, I have made some great cards. This one is simple, but striking. The pandas are framed by this piece fo fun DSP from the Tutti-Frutti pack. After adding the pandas on, I decided to leave off other embellishments to focus on the paper.

A Juggling Panda for You!

As soon as I saw the Sale-a-Bration brochure, I had to have the Party Pandas stamp set! It's just so incredibly cute. I decided to play with circles and stripes for the design of the card. I embossed a piece of Whisper White paper with the Polka Dot embossing folder and repeated those dots in the DSP and the die cut shapes. For contrast I chose of piece of striped DSP as a background layer. After stamping and coloring my panda, I added some fun bright sequins. I love how the panda is juggling the sequins.
