A Parade of Dinos

unique fun Things to Do on New Year's Eve.png

It's officially May which means it's time to say goodbye to all the retiring stamp sets. In total, I'm losing 18 stamp sets from my collection (although a few of those will be kept because I love them so much). Many of these stamp sets are still available, but they are no longer guaranteed. If you want any of the sets features, buy now before they are gone!

Today's card duo is just too fun! I knew I had to have the No Bones About It stamp set when it premiered and it hasn't failed me yet. I love making fun Dino birthday cards with this set. For this duo, I played with layering dinosaurs on top of some fun DSP from Naturally Eclectic. While the skeletons on top of solid Dinos are a lot of fun, I really love the simplicity of the second card. The tiny party hat gets me every time!

A Flock of Bird Cards

Today’s cards were half of the featured Make N Takes at my Spring Bingo event. Each Bingo participant received a goody bag with four variously colored cardstock bases, six 6x6 pieces of Naturally Eclectic DSP, two yards of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon, a strip of White Accents, and four metallic doilies. From those supplies, the ladies made two cards at the Bingo event leaving plenty of supplies to take home and use later. For inspiration, I made four different cards using the same supplies.

And here's what all the ladies at Bingo made from the supplies. Love the variety of designs and combinations!

Mermaid in the Sea

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a shaker card. I immediately knew that I wanted to make a fun mermaid in the sea shaker card! I took a piece of DSP that reminded me of the sea and stamped on a few bubbles and seahorses. From there I stamped, colored, and die cut my mermaid. I propped her up on dimensionally and added a ton of sequins. I kept my overall piece simple with a piece of patterned paper, a sentiment, and a few sequins for embellishments.

A Friendly Mermaid

I adore this little friendship card. I knew Message in a Bottle would be one of my favorite stamps and this card really highlights the fun you can create. I stamped a piece of background paper using the tone-on-tone technique. From there I stamped the bottle and mermaid separately, colored her, and cut it out. A piece of DSP and a cute framed sentiment just about finished the card. The scattered rhinestones were the perfect last bit.

Emerald and Berry Eclectic

Today's card challenge was to make a card using a borrowed stamp set. The trick was that I only had an hour to borrow and create something! This Oh So Eclectic Bundle was on my short list, but I chose to buy the Bike Ride Bundle and Coffee Cafe Bundles first. Thankfully my friend Sara bought this one and let me borrow during a crafting day. I quickly decided on a green and purple color scheme and pulled papers and inks to match. From there I stamped my images and die cut each one. I also dded more texture by die cutting the piece of DSP. I love this little cut out design! After layering my pieces, I added a piece of coordinating ribbon to complete my card.
