Repeating Hearts

Today's card is another featured card at my Pattern Paper class. I love the idea of repeating shapes on a cards. For this one, I pulled a ton of coordinating purple papers and started punching out hearts. After adding those, I picked some coordinating ribbon and added a cute tag for a sentiment.

Reading: In a big comics binge right now. Currently reading Revival Vols. 4 through 7.

Watching: J and I continued with Supernatural S3.

Listening: Been perusing Apple Music lately and stumbled on Dashboard Confessional's new album. Love it! Such a throw-back for me.

Making: For our Valentines Exchange yesterday, I ended up making strawberry, chocolate chip, and turtle scones. Oh so good!

Feeling: The past two days, I have massive scar tissue pain. Thankfully it has subsided today.

Planning: The retreat is next week! I've got a few last minute details to work out and then we're ready to go!

Loving: Even with not feeling great, I've gotten good sleep the last couple of days. Feeling much better.

A Card for Dad

Today's card is being featured at my Pattern Paper class this season. I wanted to make a masculine card and the new True Gentleman DSP is perfect! I kept the card simple deciding to focus on layering the fun patterns and finishing off with a simple sentiment. As a last minute addition, I added the metallic doily to add a bit more shine.

30 Days of Lists - September 2017

One of the many unfinished projects I had laying in my craft area going into 2018. I'm excited to say that I've finally finished this one! The cards will be going into the 2017 Family Project Life album (unfinished). I used cards from the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things Core Kit. The numbers were from an old Freckled Fawn grab bag I had gotten. And the stickers were taken from leftover planner kits.

Valentine Panda

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Valentine. I don't send out a lot of Valentines, but we do usually have an exchange with the kiddos. Keeping in mind that these were going to be for kids, I decided on the cute Party Panda stamp set as my focal point. From there, I just added a few cute layers and some fun heart paper.

Floating Bees

Today's card is being featured at my Birthday Cards class. I stamped the bee and sentiment onto a piece of vellum using Basic Black Ink. From there, I layered the vellum on top of a piece of pretty pattern paper. For the final touch, I added some gorgeous crinkly ribbon. A simple but striking card!

Reading: A Toxic Trousseau by Juliet Blackwell. It's #8 in the Witchcraft Mystery series and I can't wait to see what happens.

Watching: We've watched a few movies ladies including Logan Lucky and a few documentaries.

Listening: I was catching up with the latest few episodes of the What Should I Read Next podcast. I really love the discussions about books and recommendations. I can never get through a show without adding at least one book to my TBR list.

Making: I've been on a smoothie kick lately. My favorite has been Banana, Blueberry, Chia Seed, Flaxseed Meal, Almond milk, and Almond butter.

Feeling: I've been having some anxiety issues lately. Hoping I can resolve them soon.

Planning: Some friends and I are having a small Valentine's Day Exchange and Picnic for the kiddos. I'm planning on making some Chocolate Chip Scones and Strawberry Scones. Also probably going to decorate some bags, or gather supplies for the kids to decorate bags.

Loving: The days have been warm (low 70s) and the nights have been cool. I love sleeping with the windows open and a cool breeze coming into the bedroom.

Beautiful Soiree

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the sketch below:

feb2018.jpg

I adore the Sweet Soiree DSP with the beautiful silver foil accents. Super feminine paper is not usually my go-to, but I love this pack so much! I decided to really let the paper shine by layering on a few different patterns. For my sentiment, I choice this fun coloring stamp from the Just Add Text set. I added a bit of ribbon and tinsel and finished off my card!

  • Stamps: Just Add Text
  • Inks: Basic Black; Calypso Coral; Daffodil Delight; Old Olive; Powder Pink; Marina Mist; Sweet Sugarplum; Berry Burst
  • Cardstock: Sweet Soiree DSP; Berry Burst
  • Accessories: Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon; Love Mini Tinsel Trim

CASEing Anastasia

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from our new design team member Anastasia Radloff who blogs at Stampin' Blondie. I decided to CASE this fun card from last summer. I kept the same stamp set, design, and paper as Anastasia. I did change up some of the colors and switched out the plain Lemon Lime Twist piece of cardstock with the Lemon Lime Twist glimmer paper. I love the bit of glitter it gives the card. Overall I really love this little card from Anastasia. I was very excited to CASE her this month.
