Away We Got Bike Ride

Retiring Banner.png

Today’s card features five retiring products: Bike Ride Stamp Set, Timeless Textures Stamp Set, Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set, Best Route DSP, and Daffodil Delight 1/4” Double Stitched Ribbon. I adore the Bike Ride stamp set, but have never used it with the Best Route DSP pack. How did I not think to pair it up? The DSP has a piece with little bikes all over it! Perfect pairing for today’s card. I stamped my bicycle in Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch and paired it with a simple stamped sentiment. So cute! I layered my paper and finished off my card with some ribbon. Love it!

SSINKCS54: Stripes and Balloons

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the sketch below.

oct sketch.jpg

My hand immediately went to the Hand Delivered Stamp Set to use at my main image. From there, I laid out an image and started hunting through my paper for something fun. I haven't really used much of the Twinkle Twinkle paper pack even though I think it's super fun. So I picked this great stripe pattern and then colored my image to feature the same colors.

Bushel and a Bike

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card featuring apples. I really miss the apple festivals of the Midwest. California just doesn't have the same kind of festivals. Thankfully I will get a little taste of it when we move back to Nebraska in a few weeks. For my card, I found that I actually do have apple stamps in my collection. The fun Bike Ride stamp set features this cute little pile of apples that can be added to the basket of the bike or just scattered around. I started with my apples and then grabbed some fun colors that coordinated. From there, I stamped and die cut my bike and created the scene. Of course I had to feature some matching DSP from the Country Lane pack. Now someone bring me a mug of cider!

CASEing Anastasia

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from our new design team member Anastasia Radloff who blogs at Stampin' Blondie. I decided to CASE this fun card from last summer. I kept the same stamp set, design, and paper as Anastasia. I did change up some of the colors and switched out the plain Lemon Lime Twist piece of cardstock with the Lemon Lime Twist glimmer paper. I love the bit of glitter it gives the card. Overall I really love this little card from Anastasia. I was very excited to CASE her this month.

Riding with Van Gogh

Today's card is part of my die cuts class (January - March). I knew I wanted to build a bike for one of our cards. Once deciding on a color palette, I started adding accessories for my bike. I picked this great sentiment from the Just Add Text set to compliment my scene. As a final touch, I stamped some leaves and flowers. Love this cute card; it reminds me of spring.

P.S. In my mind, the dog is named Van Gogh...

Ride from the Flower Market

Today's challenge was to use two of my current favorite colors. I am loving Fresh Fig and Island Indigo and they look amazing together! I stamped the back end of the bicycle and added some pretty flowers. I also snuck in a few fireflies from the Jar of Love stamp set. I mounted my bicycle on a piece of Fresh Fig and went to dig for some DSP. In my scrap stash, I had this piece of fun dotted DSP from the Scenic Sayings Paper Stack (retired). Perfect pattern to show off my bicycle but not compete with it.

  • Stamps: Bike Ride, Bookcase Builder, Jar of Love
  • Inks: Fresh Fig, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Early Espresso
  • Cardstock: Scenic Sayings DSP (retired), Fresh Fig, Island Indigo, Whisper White

Fall Bike Ride

Today's card is being featured at my August die cuts class. I challenged myself to create another card using the Bike Ride stamp set and Build a Bike framelits. This card is super simple, but so cute! Instead of flowers (or a dog), I added a fun stack of books onto the back of my classic Crushed Curry and Soft Suede bike. After adding a sentiment and a strip of ribbon, I still felt there was something missing. Thankfully the Build a Bike Framelits includes this cute little butterfly die. Perfect addition!

  • Stamps: Bike Ride; Better Together
  • Inks: Fresh Fig; Crushed Curry; Soft Suede; Crumb Cake; Old Olive; Bravo Burgundy (retired); Tangerine Tango
  • Cardstock: Fresh Fig; Crushed Curry; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon

TGIFC119: Riding My Bike

Today's card is playing along with TGIF's Color Challenge. These three colors together just scream summer! I love the combo.

I had so much fun making this simple little card that it's going to be one of the featured cards for August's stamp club meeting. I started with stamping this cute little green and blue bike. I love how the stamp set is designed to be able to layer on different colors. And it comes with a ton of different items to put onto the back of the bike. So versatile! I filled a little basket with a dog and some pretty sunflowers. As a last touch, I added some glitter enamel dots to the centers of the wheels.

  • Stamps: Bike Ride; Thoughtful Banners
  • Inks: Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake
  • Cardstock: Eastern Palace DSP, Crushed Curry, Pool Party, Whisper White
  • Accessories: Enamel Glitter Dots
  • Tools: Duet Banner Punch, Build a Bike Framelits
