Sprinkle Tree

3.png

Today’s card is one of those cards that has been sitting my card stash half-finished for months… I had stamped the tree and bike, but never went any further. This pretty pink tree was the perfect base for another birthday card. So I added a sentiment, pierced some holes (for a more interesting design), and some retired candy dots. Simple yet pretty.

It's a Bee-utiful Day!

3.png

Today’s card features one of my favorite colors (and my favorite color retiring this year) Fresh Fig. I love the deep dark purple. This color started with Fresh Fig. From there, I found some DSP that featured a darker purple and then settled on a sentiment. The bees came to me after a search for something nature related.

Dragonfly Love

3.png

Today’s card is a very special card because it’s my birthday!!! My favorite color is purple, so today’s card had to have purple featured. In looking at my stamp stash, I had to pull out the Dragonfly Dreams set and coordinating dies. Such a good choice! I took my design from an example in Stampin’ Success, the demonstrator magazine from Stampin’ Up! They always have some great designs and examples to use and this one really spoke to me. It’s from a few years back, but it was the perfect design for today!

Floral Scraps

Today's card is being featured at my Patterned Paper Extravaganza class. I love finding new ways to use up paper scraps laying around. For this card, I created a variety of banners from the dsp and adhered them to an embossed piece of cardstock. From there, it was just a matter of adding some coordinating ribbon and a sentiment.

Floating Bees

Today's card is being featured at my Birthday Cards class. I stamped the bee and sentiment onto a piece of vellum using Basic Black Ink. From there, I layered the vellum on top of a piece of pretty pattern paper. For the final touch, I added some gorgeous crinkly ribbon. A simple but striking card!

Layered Circles

Today's card is another one of my fabulous $2 cards! Somehow I used all the of pink and purple DSP from the Blooms and Bliss DSP pack, but left all the blue and green DSP. So I looked on Pinterest for some interest design ideas of a DSP focus and found a great idea using nested circles. I love the pattern play and coordination of this card. So cute!

SSINKTC45: Black Magic Dragonflies

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card with the featured technique:

This is such a great technique and I'm surprised that I've never actually used it! For my card, I knew that I wanted to use the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. The dragonfly image gives a great space for coloring fun! I kept my card in the Bright collections by using the wonderful Watercolor Pencils. I kept my card clean by just adding a few layer and a pretty bow.

  • Stamps: Dragonfly Dreams; Scenic Sayings (sentiment inside)
  • Inks: White Craft Ink
  • Cardstock: Melon Mambo; Basic Black; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Organza Ribbon
  • Tools: Watercolor Pencils

Spring Stampin' Up! Bingo

Last Saturday, I hosted my first every Stampin' Up! Bingo Party! And it was awesome! I had seven ladies join me for a fun afternoon of games, crafting, snacks, and socializing. I created prize packs for eight rounds of bingo. Each round's prize was valued at between $10 and $20 dollars. For example, Round one's prize was a pack of 2016-2018 In Color Cardstock and the coordinating Markers. Another round included the Summer Sorbet Stamp Set and Rich Razzlberry Ombre Ink Pad. Almost all of the ladies won a round. And those that didn't got to pick from my extra prize stash (mostly retired items, but still great products). Along with Bingo, I created two different make n take cards. Everyone followed my basic design for the dragonfly card, but they went all different directions with the Scenic Sayings card. I love the variety of cards that were made. The event was so much fun, I think I'll schedule another Bingo party for August or so. Just in time for the Holiday Catalog!

Celebrating the Earth

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card in celebration of Earth Day tomorrow. Of course I had to go with something involving flowers and animals. I settled on this gorgeous flower from Remarkable You and the little bee from Dragonfly Dreams. It's hard to see in the picture, but I colored the inside of the flower with gold Wink of Stella. Gives the card the bit of bling it needed.

  • Inks: Soft Suede; Old Olive; Blushing Bride; Delightful Dijon; Chocolate Chip
  • Cardstock: Affectionately Yours DSP; Daffodil Delight; Chocolate Chip; Whisper White
