Grateful Animals

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a trio of grateful animals. I love the Thankful Forrest Friends stamp set. I wanted to make a cute little gratitude parade. At the final second before running the Olive piece through the Big Shot, I added a strip of Blackberry Bliss washi tape. I think that little finished touch makes all the difference.

  • Stamps: Thankful Forrest Friends
  • Inks: Tip Top Taupe; Delightful Dijon; Lost Lagoon; Blackberry Bliss
  • Cardstock: Cajun Craze; Old Olive; Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: 2014-2016 In Color Washi Tape

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 17

Today's card is one out of comfort zone. Usually I stick to fairly clean and simple cards. I like geometric shapes and brighter colors. I tend to stay away from anything to antique in it's look. But for today, I saw a similar card on Pinterest and wanted to stretch my creativity. I actually really like how this one came out. One thing I would do differently: put the coffee cup on a different colored paper. Otherwise, I like the look and I used these holly stickers that have been hanging around for about two years.

  • Stamps: Cup of Cheer
  • Inks: Chocolate Chip; Tip Top Taupe
  • Cardstock: Mossy Meadow; random script paper; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Ribbon; Washi Tape; Holly stickers

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 16

Today's card came from some great Pinterest inspiration. I love the multiple layers and patterned stars of this card. I pulled out some scraps from the Festival of Prints stack to cut out my stars. From there I grabbed some nice coordinating cardstock and some random dictionary paper from the scrap pile. To finish off the card, I added a sentiment and a cute little button.

  • Stamps: Retired SU Sentiment
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Festival of Prints DSP (retired); Wild Wasabi; Cherry Cobbler; Kraft; Dictionary paper (scrap pile)
  • Accessories: Random buttons
  • Tools: Stars Framelits

SSINKIC27: Fall Bouquet

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun photo inspiration challenge!

I played off of the colors and acorns in the inspiration picture. The colors look a bit muddled in this picture, but I promise they look much better in person. I love the strip of burlap on the left hand side. The thin strip down the middle is actually leftover Early Espresso card stock. (Getting useful with my scraps! Look at me go!)

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015; For All Things
  • Inks: Cajun Craze; Soft Suede; Old Olive; Tangerine Tango
  • Cardstock: Early Espresso; Very Vanilla
  • Accessories: Seasons of Cheer Washi Tape; Burlap; Into the Woods Elements

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 15

An interesting off center design for today. I kept the card fairly clean without extra embellishments. In person, the tree with the green design is very shiny foil. It gives off just enough glam to draw the eye.

  • Stamps: Retired SU Sentiment
  • Inks: Real Red
  • Cardstock: Cucumber Crush; Real Red; Whisper White; Gold paper; random scraps
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Stripes Embossing Folder; Circle Framelits; Tree Punch; Star Punch

A Starry Christmas

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a Christmas card challenge. This month I also joined Punk Projects for their 30 Days of Christmas Cards challenge.

This is such a great Christmas card! I love the play of textures and pattern. The star embossing folder always gets lost in the bin. Thankfully I pulled it out to use for my Christmas cards. The trick to this card was to emboss only the top 2/3 of the card. From there I added some great patterned paper and punched tree. Fairly simple, but such a great card.

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015; Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Old Olive; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake; Merry Moments DSP; Gold Paper
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Star Punch; Tree Punch; Lucky Stars Embossing Folder

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 12

A sparkly silver and red card today. I love the glitter paper and foil accented pattern paper. I wanted to let the silver shine, so I kept the accessories at a minimum.

  • Stamps: Six Sayings
  • Inks: Real Red
  • Cardstock: Silver Glitter Paper; Real Red; silver foil paper; Whisper White
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Confetti Stars Punch; Squares Framelits
