A Coffee Christmas

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card, any card, using any current SU products. So of course I made a Christmas card. One of these days I'll pick up a non-holiday set again... Anyways, I went a little embossing happy this week and embossed about 6 different images. Then I started building cards around those images. This is the result of the first image. I love this little coffee cup! So cute! I wanted to break up my piece of cardstock a bit, and so I added a bit of vellum. From there, I finished off the card with the gold sequin trim. It's a very sparkly card in person!

Here's a better shot at the pretty embossed coffee cup!

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 17

Today's card is one out of comfort zone. Usually I stick to fairly clean and simple cards. I like geometric shapes and brighter colors. I tend to stay away from anything to antique in it's look. But for today, I saw a similar card on Pinterest and wanted to stretch my creativity. I actually really like how this one came out. One thing I would do differently: put the coffee cup on a different colored paper. Otherwise, I like the look and I used these holly stickers that have been hanging around for about two years.

  • Stamps: Cup of Cheer
  • Inks: Chocolate Chip; Tip Top Taupe
  • Cardstock: Mossy Meadow; random script paper; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Ribbon; Washi Tape; Holly stickers
