Thanksgiving Project Life

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a card made using Project Life x Stampin' Up products. I love the coordinating card collections, accessories, and stamp sets that SU offers. As an added bonus the PL collections are exclusive to SU and coordinate with our colors. Perfect combos!

I snapped up the Seasonal Snapshot 2015 bundle so I could have pieces for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (it also has Back to School items, but my little is only 2 so those will be used in something else). Unfortunately, I don't have pictures yet for Halloween or Thanksgiving. So I decided to use the PL supplies and make a nice Thanksgiving card. The only piece I modified is the large leaf. Originally the leaf was on a 3x4 card. I cut it out and stamped on the greeting. Layer that onto some pattern paper (a 4x6 card cut down to size) and finish off with some cute wood veneers and stickers.

  • Inks: Cajun Craze; Mossy Meadow

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 4

Two variations of a nice clean design today. I always forget that I own this stars confetti punch. I love the look of having the Old Olive paper peek through. Beyond the stars, I went very clean with a simple palette. I'm a huge fan of these cards.

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 3

Day 3's card celebrates my love of washi tape! I have a huge bin of washi tape and I still buy more when I end up at Michael's or Joann's. For this card, I used washi tape from Stampin' Up. I love that they now sell washi tape that coordinates with all their colors. I love this card so much! I may have to make a few more.

  • Stamps: Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Old Olive; Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Season of Cheer Washi Tape; retired washi tape

My Very Own DSP

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun Make-Your-Own-DSP card. I went with a larger piece of Bokeh inspired to create my DSP. I sponged on a random assortment of Real Red, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, and Watermelon Wonder. From there, I dripped water into the paper in a random pattern. Let dry and you get this cool effect. For my card, I kept it simple with one big sentiment and coordinating cardstock to finish it.

  • Stamps: Friendly Wishes
  • Inks: Watermelon Wonder; Real Red; Melon Mambo; Blushing Bride; Basic Black
  • Cardstock: Melon Mambo; Basic Black; Whisper White

30 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 2

Day 2's card uses a one of SU's retired paper stacks, but one that's still being loved: Festival of Trees! I love that this card has so many great layers. The colors all work together to create a very busy card.

I made four different variations using a variety of paper patterns.

  • Stamps: 25 Days (retired); Christmas Bliss (inside sentiment)
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Festival of Prints DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Mossy Meadow; Pear Pizzaz; Gold
  • Accessories:

SSINKCC27: Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun color challenge:

I adore these colors together. I decided to keep my card in the fall/Thanksgiving arena instead of Christmas. Although now I have a ton of Christmas designs using these colors floating around my head. I saw a few cute grid cards online and decided to make my own featuring some great DSP and stamped images. (Note: the purple vines from Into the Woods are technically Rich Razzleberry, but I love their slightly muted look in the card combination. I kept them there but made sure to add my Blackberry Bliss in card stock and stamped images.)

  • Stamps: For All Things; Thankful Forrest Friends
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler; Blackberry Bliss; Old Olive
  • Cardstock: Into the Woods DSP; Merry Moments DSP; Cherry Cobbler; Blackberry Bliss; Old Olive; Whisper White
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Squares Framelits

November 2015 Crafting Goals

A recap of last month’s goals:

  • Make at least 50 Christmas cards — Fail. I managed to make about 30 cards, but not a single one of them was a Christmas card.
  • Finish October stamp club projects — Success! Finished out strong with some great cards. Now I'm hoping the ladies will be back for the next round after Christmas.
  • Finish September PL pages — Success! I finished the pages three days ago, but I did get them finished.
  • Update Arthur’s PL album — Fail. Got busy with other projects.

This month’s goals:

  • Make at least 50 Christmas cards -- Yep. I'm going to try it again.
  • Update Arthur's PL album -- Really want this up to date before I leave for Indiana.
  • Finish October PL pages -- My usual...
  • Prep December Daily pages -- Another project want ready for December in Indiana.
  • Finish organizing cards for craft fairs -- I have one on Nov. 14th and on Dec. 5th. I really need to get everything prepped and ready beforehand.
  • Finish two calendars for gifts or craft fairs -- I have three calendar templates read and have 1/3 of the way finished. I want to get these done this month to give as gifts or to sell at fairs.

30 Days of Christmas Cards

Christmas is creeping closer... and my two craft fairs are even closer! And I haven't made a single Christmas card for this year! Last year, I had all my Christmas cards down and mailed by Thanksgiving. I may not accomplish that this year, but I definitely need a jump on them. I was directed to this awesome challenge hosted by Punk Projects. Join me and others as we made at least one Christmas card (or project) a day for the month of November. I will be detailing my progress daily here and on Instagram: tfrances19.
