Pretty Pretty Flamingo

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from a fellow Design Team member. I picked this fun card from Jennifer Gregorsky!

For my version I changed the colors and accessories but kept the wonderful design and ideas. I love the color combination of Emerald Envy and Melon Mambo! So much fun and tropical looking. Reminds me of Florida. I added some visual interest to my piece of Melon Mambo cardstock by stamping on a background from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set. Those pattern stamp sets are great at adding something extra to cards. I also embossed the piece of white with the Blooms Embossing Folder. Instead of the little "hello" sentiment, I stamped the big "thinking of you" heart and leaves and hand cut them out to add to the card. As a finally element, I added some Emerald Envy Enamel hearts. Love this CASE!

  • Stamps: Pop of Paradise; Playful Backgrounds
  • Inks: Melon Mambo; Emerald Envy
  • Cardstock: Emerald Envy; Melon Mambo; Whisper White
  • Accessories: 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes

Bookcase Memories

I did it! I made a card with every single one of my currently owned stamps sets! Today’s card was featured at my March Stamp Club. I wanted to use my Bookcase Builder stamp set to create a more masculine card. Changing up the colors really helps! I featuring Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, and Early Espresso. After picking colors, I had a ton of fun building my bookcase. The ladies in stamp club took my idea and ran with the design creating lots of differently styled bookcases. I love seeing what they came up with!

Dino in the Jungle

Today’s card features one of my favorite stamps sets: No Bones About It. I initially bought this set for my son's dinosaur themed 2 year birthday party, but I've loved pulling it out time and time again to create something new. For this card I decided to feature three of the soon-to-be-retired In Colors: Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, and Cucumber Crush. I love the more masculine combination. I'm sure this card will be given to some little boy for his birthday. I took a piece of the Inside the Lines DSP and color in just a few of the pieces. I love the minimalist look! From there I added more DSP layers and a framed stamped Triceratops and sentiment. As a final touch, I stamped and hand cut a few leaves to add to my image.

  • Stamps: No Bones About It
  • Inks: Smoky Slate; Basic Gray; Mint Macaron; Cucumber Crush; Delightful Dijon

Blooms and Sparkles

Today’s card features one of my newer stamp sets Blooms and Wishes. I haven't used this one as much as I would have liked. For this card, I decided to create a fun faux layered stamped blooms image as my focal point. From there I added a layer of Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer Paper (so in love with this paper!) and Blooms and Bliss DSP. A simple card, but I love all the patterns and colors.

  • Stamps: Blooms and Wishes
  • Inks: Sweet Sugarplum; Rich Razzleberry; Blushing Bride; Mint Macaron

SSINKTC43: Circle Weaving

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using March's technique: paper weaving.

The In Color Envelope Paper is one of my favorite products for random projects! I cut multiple pieces of paper into 0.5" strips. After weaving a mat, I adhered it to a piece of cardstock to create a stable piece. Once my paper weaving was in place, it was just a matter of adding a sentiment and a few embellishments. The punched butterfly was a last minute addition, but I love how it looks.

  • Stamps: Kinda Eclectic
  • Inks: Rich Razzleberry; Flirty Flamingo
  • Cardstock: 2016-2018 In Color Envelope Paper; Peekaboo Peach; Sweet Sugarplum; Whisper White

Sunday Haul #4

I have a bit of a backlog of haul pictures due to all the cards being featured in March. First up: my SU resupply order. I needed some cardstock and a few accessories to replenish my supply.

  • Soft Sky Cardstock
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
  • Island Indigo Cardstock
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock
  • Dapper Denim Cardstock
  • Rhinestones
  • 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes
  • Crushed Curry Ink Pad
  • Metallic Enamel Shapes
  • Dimensionals
  • Avant Garden (SAB)
  • Make a Medallion (SAB)
  • Pearls
  • Natural Chevron Ribbon (sold out)
  • Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon (clearance rack)
  • Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon
  • Glimmer Paper Assortment (SAB

Second, I stopped in Target for other things, but of course had to hit the dollar spot. I snapped up this cute pineapple pouch and rub-ons. I also got an Amazon gift card for my birthday. I finally bought myself a new paper trimmer (mine has no numbers and it really scratched up), trimmer blades, and snail.

And stop at Target and I raided the Dollar Spot. Grabbed this cute silver tin to use to hold supplies at class, a weekly to-do pad for my planner, skinny glitter washi (!!!), sequins (cross between Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum), and some floral washi.

And my March Stamp Club order... I grabbed some supplies for my upcoming Bingo Party in April! But I'm keeping those secret for right now!

Simple Butterfly

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using some sparkle and shine. I'm partial to our metallic foil paper. I have all three colors: gold, silver, and copper, but for this card, I focused on gold. I created a large stamped butterfly (after four tries...) and placed a die cut gold butterfly on top. From there I created a mat with sentiment and layered it on another piece of gold foil. The card still seemed a bit plain so I added a piece of Gold Foil Patterned Acetate and the card came together!

Detail of my shine:

  • Stamps: Suite Sayings; Watercolor Wings

Sneaky Chicks

Today’s card features one of the many Sale-a-Bration offerings. Remember that you only have until March 31st to get your own free SAB item. order now! I didn't initially order the Hey Chicks stamp set, but after seeing all the cute examples, I could resist! I made this card featuring these fun and crazy chickens colored with multiple markers. I decided to make them look different by using a different combination. I then die cut and embossed a layer of Cajun Craze to create their chicken coop. A piece of the Urban Underground DSP in Delightful Dijon paired perfectly with my colors and added some fun pattern.

  • Stamps: Hey Chicks

Hello Spring Bee!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a spring card. Around my house spring means bees hanging out in the bushes near my front walk. So I decided to make a spring card featuring the delightful bumblebee from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. I can't believe this is the first card I've made using the bee. Apparently I was really fixated on the dragonfly image. I stamped my bee (two layer stamping) and cut him out by hand. There is a die cut corresponding to the bee but I would have lost the color if I die cut it. From there, I stamped some fun spring blooms and added a sentiment to one layer. The top layer is embossed using the Hexagons Embossing Folder and then sponged with some Delightful Dijon to create a pseudo honeycomb. Love this cute little card so much I featured it at March's stamp club.

Marvelous Mint Macaron

Hello everyone! With the close of every Stampin' Up Annual Catalog, we have to say goodbye to five In Colors. This May, we will be losing the following colors:

Initially I wasn't a huge fan of these colors. It seemed to be a odd combination. But over the past two years, I have grown to like all of the colors. In fact, I have grown to love love love Mint Macaron. It will be sad to lose these colors, but I am devastated to lose Mint Macaron. Hands down my favorite! Today I'm celebrating Mint Macaron and giving it a proper sendoff with three fun cards!

My first card is actually one I made using a ton of retired products. I don't usually hang on to retired stamp sets (preferring to sell them and get new ones), but I have kept two sets that get pulled out time and time again: Four You and Four Feathers! This great monochrome triptych features both of those retired sets plus one current set (Timeless Textures) and a great accessory (Mint Macaron Striped Ribbon). Simple card, yet it highlights the color beautifully.

  • Stamps: Four Feathers (retired); Four You (retired); Timeless Textures
  • Inks: Mint Macaron
  • Cardstock: Mint Macaron; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Mint Macaron Striped Ribbon
  • Tools:

Card two features a Holiday Catalog stamp set that is carrying over! I immediately fell for the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and Punch and love that I can use it beyond Christmas time. The little suit stamp is perfect as a teddy bear. And I love the color combination of Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake. The soft colors make a great gender neutral baby card. This card also features the In Color DSP pack. I love these packs for great background pieces. SU sells the DSP packs in both In Color collections, Brights, Regals, Subtles, and Neutrals.

  • Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas; Suite Sayings
  • Inks: Mint Macaron; Crumb Cake; Chocolate Chip
  • Cardstock: 2015-2017 In Color DSP; Neutrals DSP; Mint Macaron; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Mint Macaron Striped Ribbon
  • Tools: Cookie Cutter Punch; Layering Circles Framelits

Finally I am featuring my favorite color combination: Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry. Purple is my favorite color and I love the green and purple combo of these two colors. I am again featuring the In Color DSP as my background paper. I kept the main image of the card fairly simple with a jar full of flowers.

  • Stamps: Jar of Love
  • Inks: Sweet Sugarplum; Rich Razzleberry; Mint Macaron; Smoky Slate
  • Cardstock: 2015-2017 In Color DSP; Mint Macaron; Whisper White
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Everyday Jars Framelits

Super sad that we only have a few weeks left with Mint Macaron, but hey, maybe they will eventually bring it back when Stampin' Up does another color refresh. A girl can dream, right?
