Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a spring card. Around my house spring means bees hanging out in the bushes near my front walk. So I decided to make a spring card featuring the delightful bumblebee from the Dragonfly Dreams Stamp Set. I can't believe this is the first card I've made using the bee. Apparently I was really fixated on the dragonfly image. I stamped my bee (two layer stamping) and cut him out by hand. There is a die cut corresponding to the bee but I would have lost the color if I die cut it. From there, I stamped some fun spring blooms and added a sentiment to one layer. The top layer is embossed using the Hexagons Embossing Folder and then sponged with some Delightful Dijon to create a pseudo honeycomb. Love this cute little card so much I featured it at March's stamp club.
