Rainbow Resist

Today’s card is being featured at my Coloring Class. I love all the different ways you can color a card. For this one, I used one of my favorite technique, emboss resist, combined with watercolor. The Lots of Love Stamp Set is perfect for a smattering of images to emboss. From there I added some great colors to create a rainbow effect. After coloring, I added a few embellishments to finish off the card.

Daisy Quartet

Today’s cards were half of the featured Make N Takes at my Spring Bingo event. Each Bingo participant received a goody bag with four variously colored cardstock bases, six 6x6 pieces of Delightful Daisy DSP, ten gold faceted gems, two yards of Old Olive Sheer Ribbon, and two yards of Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon. From those supplies, the ladies made two cards at the Bingo event leaving plenty of supplies to take home and use later. For inspiration, I made four different cards using the same supplies.

Rainbow Fold

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a gatefold card. I always forget how much I love gatefold cards. The trick is to find the perfect shape/image to be the focal point. I immediately knew that a rainbow would be the perfect piece to tie this card together. I cut out my rainbow using all retiring colors (except for the So Saffron) and then pondered how to attach it. The easiest way is to assemble the rainbow with a piece of scotch tape on the back. Easy peasy! From there, I cut some clouds to create some fun layers and a place to tuck my rainbow ends. The glitter and epoxy shapes were the final touch.

Teddy Bear Greetings

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a baby card. I decided to modify a old card that I made. I love the idea of of quilt cards, but wanted to put a different spin on it. So I left out a row of the quilt to put a cute teddy bear and sentiment in the middle. I really really really love this design!!! Such a cute card.

February 2018 Memory Planner

Feeling a bit better than I'm not completely behind on my Memory Planner pages. I'm continuing to use my giant pack fo gel pens for journaling (different than my usual black Papermate Flair) and keeping the stickers to a minimum. I'm really loving the less cluttered look for these pages.

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Today’s card is being featured at my April Coloring Class. I adore the Just Add Color DSP, but couldn't figure out how exactly to showcase the fun images. Thankfully the Stampin' Blends came at just the right time for me to have a bit of fun coloring these cute houses.

Reading: Bachelor Nation by Amy Kaufman. I snagged a copy from the library's new releases shelf.

Watching: We finally started watching Veep S6. I have no idea why we didn't watch this earlier.

Listening: I finally caught up with the wonderful podcast Elise Gets Crafty. Really love her creative small business chats.

Making: After taking a break for Project Life spreads and Memory Planner pages, I'm back to making a ton of cards.

Feeling: Stampin' Up! released their new annual catalog to the demonstrators yesterday and I'm so incredibly excited about all the new products.

Planning: I'm trying to start planning out this summer's travel and activities.

Loving: We've been going on a few long walks and it's been lovely.

Coffee Break Today

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a coffee break card. Another excuse to pull out the Coffee Cafe Stamp Set. Even if SU decides to retire this set at the end of the catalog, I will be keeping this and making more coffee themed cards. I love it so much. Or maybe it's that I love coffee so much... Anyways, I chose to pick some fun DSP pieces, lay them in a pattern, and then emboss the entire piece using the Hexagons Embossing Folder. From there, it was just a matter of making a fun Coffee Cup to act as my focal point.

Sunday Haul #5

My order from Brandy's Shop came. I snapped up portions of four different kits for spring and summer. Loving the color combinations on these.

IMG_0371.jpg

Every April, my Stampin' Up! order is just cardstock to refill my stores. This month I bought Powder Pink, Smoky Slate, Fresh Fig, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Tranquil Tide.

Put a Bow On It

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from fellow Design Team member Nichole Loe. You can find Nichole at Scrappy Stamps and Ink. I decided to CASE this gorgeous and yet sparse card from January. I love the layers and the bits of sparkle and shine.  And so I looked at my stamp sets and tired to find one that I thought would look good in the design. I settled on the Picture Perfect Birthday and Playful Backgrounds Stamp sets. From there, I just started layering. Love how this card came together and especially the pops of sparkle!
