It's time for my annual two week vacation from the blog. I try to focus on family and fun during Christmas vacation. This break also helps me leisurely prep for the next year. I'll see everyone in 2016 with some great new projects!
Sunday Haul #35
I took advantage of Freckled Fawn's Black Friday sale and grabbed two grab bags and a roll of washi tape. Overall I'm very pleased with the contents. I'll definitely use those enamel stars and planner tags. The paper clips will probably go into my planner rotation. The rest will probably make some appearances in my Project Life spreads.
As a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I was able to preorder items from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure. I wasn't going to be at my house when they came, so I sent them to my mom's instead! Here's my haul:
- Flowering Fields Stamp Set (SAB)
- Wildflower Fields DSP (SAB)
- Botanical Builder Framelits
- Botanical Gardens DSP
- Botanical Gardens Washi Tape
- Botanical Gardens Jewels
- Botanical Gardens Cardstock
- Botanical Blooms Stamp Set
I'm hoping to be able to do a bit of crafting while here in Indiana.
I also popped into Michael's for some snail, but you know I can never just buy snail. I also grabbed a clearance paper pack (travel themed) to use for Project Life and some new-to-me planner stickers.
Trio of Ornaments
My last Christmas card for this Holiday Season. I hung a trio of ornaments off my card. The punched stars really help bring this card together.

A Blue Christmas
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Christmas tag. As I have already made a red and green tag earlier this month, I wanted to go in a different direction. As I was flipping through my supplies, I stumbled upon these blue Project Life cards. I probably won't use them in PL albums, so I decided to use them to make a fun tag. A few simple snips and punches and I had the perfect tag!

A Starry Christmas
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card featuring stars. I decided to make a garland of stars. As an added facet, I embossed the large Old Olive stars. In essence, this is a simple design, but the play of color, pattern, and textures make is a great card!
- Stamps: Six Sayings
- Inks: Mossy Meadow
- Cardstock: Merry Moments DSP; Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive; Whisper White
- Accessories: Home for Christmas Enamel Dots
- Tools: Stripes Embossing Folder; Stars Framelits
A Washi Tape Christmas
Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features another great Christmas card. I have an addiction to washi tape so of course I wanted to use it on a Christmas card. This card design is so simple, but I love all the patterns and colors.
- Stamps: Sparkly Seasons
- Inks: Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
- Cardstock: Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Whisper White
- Accessories: Season of Cheer Washi Tape; Rhinestones

SSINKCS28: Gold Tree
Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a fun card sketch challenge today.
I turned the sketch on its side and featured a pretty embossed Christmas tree. You can't tell very well, but the ornaments and the base of the tree is embossed in gold. Very pretty and shiny! And this gives me an excuse to use my pretty Winter Wonderland Vellum stack.

Project Life November 2015
I didn't think I would be able to finish these pages before I left for Indiana, but I somehow got them done. Well almost done. I'm missing out Thanksgiving Day pictures. I finished the journaling for those pages, I just need to add the pictures after I return home.
Page 1 featured some of the random photos laying around including Arthur riding the train and petting goat and a great pic of the lizard at the zoo. I also had a fun before and after comparison of my crafting space. For embellishments, I added some great tags and leaf die cuts. I also decorated my November card with some washi tape.
Page 2 highlights our day visiting Habitot with a few friends. I added some tags and small embellishments, but kept it light.
Page 3 is all about our monthly trip to CDM. I cut down a sticker frame to add the "super cute" tag. I also used a ton of random stickers that fit with the color theme of the month.
Page 4 documents MVPA's first every Holiday Bazaar. In addition to selling Thirty-One and Stampin' Up cards (Colleen manned the table for me), I served as event coordinator. The pictures were taken by our wonderful photographer in residence: Mila. I decided to forego embellishments and leave the pictures to speak for themselves.
Page 5 includes our pictures from the Bay Area Discovery Museum. We met some friends for a great day in Sausalito. I added some great little word stickers and tags plus a few leaf stickers.
Pages 6 and 7 are marked for Thanksgiving Day.
Page 8 has more random photos from the month. I caught the two top pics at the zoo. The bottom two were taken by friend Colleen at a birthday party. I didn't want to crop any of these as they are so nice. I also chose not to embellish them.
Page 9 is the last page of November. Basically this is a just a round-up of the month with a few pictures that I printed but couldn't fit on another page. I'm also missing a picture of the twins in the hot tub on Thanksgiving day. I'll be printing that in December.
The last picture for the post is a bonus! I run Arthur's albums October to October. I like the idea of having an album for each year of his life. This may turn into an album for every two years eventually. He just had a birthday October, which meant it was time for a new album. And here's the resulting page! I've decided to stop using the Project Life Baby Neutral kit and start using the random small kid kits I've bought. I started the album with Snap's Baby Boy kit leaving out the baby specific cards. I like the color scheme of yellow, blues, green, orange, and gray. I plan on using this kit until I run out of cards (there's only about 40), and then moving on to the next toddler/little boy kit I have.
Forrest of Trees
Today's card features of forrest of Christmas trees. I went a little crazy with the Tree Punch and Star Punch and then found a design example and incorporated both. Perfect combo! My favorite party is the sparkly silver twine under the stars. Hard to see in the picture, but it really shines.
- Stamps: Festival of Trees
- Inks: Chocolate Chip
- Cardstock: Nordic Noel DSP (retired); Random paper scraps; Garden Green
- Accessories: Silver Twine
- Tools: Tree Punch; Star Punch; Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
Christmas Tree Tag
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Christmas tag. I decided to layer some vellum on top of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. From there I added a simple stamped and punch tree and a sentiment. As a last touch, I had to decorate my tree with some Gold Glitz Dazzling Details. For my tag attachment, I made some ribbon using washi tape.
I made two tags. The second tag I turned into a card.
