Bushel of Apples

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a simple thank you card. I love making Thank You cards almost as much as I love send them out. For today's card, I decided to to try my hand at a bushel full of apples. The trick is that you have to punch these apples out but punching them out also punches random bits from their parts of the punch. So it took me forever to punch out about 12 apples. But I think the effect is worth it! I love the cute little basket on a tag. And the polka dot paper just makes it for me!

A simple card in an attempt to use some of these random die cuts. The bright colors are my thing in my Project Life spreads, but they are perfect for simple Christmas cards.

Nutcracker GC Holders

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a Christmas card challenge. This month I also joined Punk Projects for their 30 Days of Christmas Cards challenge.

For today's project, I decided to move beyond a greeting a card and made a few gift card holders. These are incredibly easy to make. Cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 2" and 6". Fold. Glue down the bottom flap. Add some patterned paper and a belly band and voila! Instant gift card holder! For these ones, I added a cute little nutcracker embellishment to help finish off the look!

I did a few more GC holders of different looks, colors, and papers.

I have had these button stickers for a while and couldn't find a way to use them. I'm not a huge button person. Instead of putting random buttons on cards, I decided to make a Christmas tree from the buttons. Problem solved!

Today's set of cards was an easy way to use up scraps and random retired papers. Plus I wanted to use my new Cup of Cheer stamp set. I love that you can color the letters to customize the stamp.

Sunday Haul #34

I received this wonderful package from Katie @ Punk Projects for participating in her 30 Days of Christmas cards this month. You'll definitely be seeing some of these items in this year's holiday albums and possibly my December Daily.

A quick stop into Michael's for some snail and blades for my trimmer. I also grabbed some planner stickers, a cute ornament, and two albums. Those albums will be used for Christmas presents.

I quickly embossed the strip of Mossy Meadow to give the card some texture. Lastly, I added the tree silhouettes to the circle sentiment to help fill the white space. Perfect!

I don't know what I was thinking. I made the cards yesterday and apparently decided to do something even harder for today. Although, I have to admit that it's a cool effect for a card. I love the sparkles and shine!

And notice my awesome gold embossed sentiment on the bottom. I think that's my favorite part!

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 18

Today's card looks really cool, but was such a pain to make! I ended up making four of these cards (like I've done with all of the 30 Days cards), but seriously thought about scrapping it about 1/3 of the way through. Each card has 16 punched out shapes! Imagine having to keep track of all those shapes and make sure you get the right numbers of the right shapes and paper patterns. Yeah! It was a chore. But somehow I finished four of these cards. I really do like the look. Veyr cute and inventive.
