30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 7

A fun tree-filled card for today. (Yeah I'm still using the Festival of Trees stamp set!) I stacked a few trees to one side and a large sentiment on the right side. This really is one of my favorite cards that I've made this month. Country is not a style that I gravitate towards, but I'm loving it for this card!

A couple of variations for the stack.

  • Stamps: Six Sayings; Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Old Olive; Cherry Cobbler; Pear Pizzaz
  • Cardstock: Trim the Tree DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Doilies
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Star Punch

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 6

A fairly simple card, but sometimes simple cards are the best! I added the "snow" using a pencil eraser and craft white ink. I love the random flakes. A few simple trees and a sentiment completes the card.

  • Stamps: Seasonal Snapshot 2015; Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Real Red; Craft White
  • Cardstock: Crumb Cake;
  • Accessories: Snowflake Sequins
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Hexagon Punch

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 5

For today's card, I'm again using the awesome retired Festival of Prints paper stack. I decided to run with some diagonal paper strips to create my background. Apparently I'm really digging my Festival of Trees stamp set lately... Prepare to see it for a few more days.

  • Stamps: Festival of Trees; Christmas Bliss
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Festival of Prints DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Very Vanilla; Pear Pizzaz; Gold
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Star Punch

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 4

Two variations of a nice clean design today. I always forget that I own this stars confetti punch. I love the look of having the Old Olive paper peek through. Beyond the stars, I went very clean with a simple palette. I'm a huge fan of these cards.

  • Stamps: Six Sayings; Festival of Trees; Christmas BlIss (retired)
  • Inks: Mossy Meadow
  • Cardstock: Mossy Meadow; Old Olive; Whisper White; Gold Paper

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 3

Day 3's card celebrates my love of washi tape! I have a huge bin of washi tape and I still buy more when I end up at Michael's or Joann's. For this card, I used washi tape from Stampin' Up. I love that they now sell washi tape that coordinates with all their colors. I love this card so much! I may have to make a few more.

  • Stamps: Festival of Trees
  • Inks: Old Olive; Mossy Meadow; Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler; Old Olive; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Season of Cheer Washi Tape; retired washi tape
  • Tools: Star Punch; Tree Punch

30 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 2

Day 2's card uses a one of SU's retired paper stacks, but one that's still being loved: Festival of Trees! I love that this card has so many great layers. The colors all work together to create a very busy card.

I made four different variations using a variety of paper patterns.

  • Stamps: 25 Days (retired); Christmas Bliss (inside sentiment)
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Festival of Prints DSP (retired); Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Mossy Meadow; Pear Pizzaz; Gold
  • Accessories:
  • Tools: Tree Punch; Circles Framelits; Stars Framelits; Stars Embossing Folder

I'm going to start this month of Christmas cards off with a cute little one layer card. It's Frosty! This card was made from only one stamp set: Work of Art. I just love how versatile it is! I keep coming back to it over and over. (The inside of this card is stamped with Merry Christmas)

  • Cardstock: Garden Green; Whisper White

Holiday Hostess

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card featuring a hostess set. I chose my newest stamp set: Six Sayings from the Holiday Catalog. I love big sentiments and this set is perfect! The resulting card is very simple, but I love the mix of pattern paper and large sentiment.

  • Stamps: Six Sayings
  • Inks: Cherry Cobbler
  • Cardstock: Merry Moments DSP; Always Artichoke; Whisper White

SSINK Mystery Supply Challenge

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. This was the second month for our new mystery supply challenge. Each of the design team members sent three embellishments/supply pieces to another team member. The receiving team member had to create a card using the sent supplies. Sounds like so much fun! Check out what I sent and what she made on the main page. I received these supplies from Darcy Johnson: stamped images from Snow Place and Six Sayings (hostess) and a piece of white glitter ribbon.

Obviously I was going to make a Christmas card, but what to add to it?  I d decided to go simple and make the mystery supplies the focus of the card. I cut down the sentiment, added a card base and coordinating strip of color. And finally I embossed the piece of smoky slate for texture. Easy peasy card, but oh so cute!

  • Stamps: Snow Place; Six Sayings
  • Inks: Night of Navy; Basic Gray
  • Cardstock: Night of Navy; Smoky Slate; Pool Party; Whisper White
  • Accessories: White Glitter Ribbon
  • Tools: Decorative Dots Embossing Folder

I sent these supplies to Sara Grafton. Pop on over to Craft Break see what she created.
