Floral Scraps

Today's card is being featured at my Patterned Paper Extravaganza class. I love finding new ways to use up paper scraps laying around. For this card, I created a variety of banners from the dsp and adhered them to an embossed piece of cardstock. From there, it was just a matter of adding some coordinating ribbon and a sentiment.

Banner Butterfly

Today’s card was featured at my first ever card buffet class. For the card, I dug into my retired stash to full some interesting colors and patterns. It's a super simple card to actually make, but I love how visually striking it is! And it gave me a chance to use more of favorite DSP from last year's Sale-a-Bration: Wildflower Fields.

Mini Magazine-style Card Holder

June's stamp club 3D project was this cute mini magazine-style card holder. It was super simple to make and a total crowd pleaser. And it holds approximately five cards with envelopes. Fill this holder with coordinating notecards for a perfect gift!

Start with a  9" x 12" piece of cardstock. Score the 12" side at 2" and 6 1/2". Score the 9" side at 3 3/4" and 5 1/4".

Holding the paper with the 9" side on the top, score between the two middle horizontal score lines at 1 3/4" from each side.

Trim the diagonals. Your paper should look like this:

Cut some decorative DSP and cardstock to embellish your holder.

Cardstock: Cut 2 pieces at 2" x 4 1/2" and 2 pieces at 1 1/2" x 2"

DSP: Cut 2 pieces at 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" and 2 pieces at 1 1/4" x 1 3/4"

Add sticky strip to the inside to assemble.

As a finishing touch, add a pretty embellishment. I choose to due cut a flower from the Botanical Builders Framelits.

Flowering Tea Kettle

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card with one of our favorite products. My current obsession is with the Cups and Kettle Framelits. I love drinking tea and this set is the perfect companion. I made sure to accent my tea kettle with the gorgeous Wildflower Fields DSP. From there it was adding the last few touches. The embossed piece of Whisper White, a nice clean sentiment, and a few punched flowers.

Lots of Cups

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using Sale-a-Bration products. My favorite SAB item hands down is the Wildflower Fields DSP! I love the color combos (thank you SU for using Blackberry Bliss!) and the designs. I decided to highlight the DSP by layering lots of teacups. Fairly simple card, but I love how the DSP pops!

A Wildflower Box

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a project featuring a Sale-A-Bration item. I decided to focus on my favorite SAB item: Wildflower Fields DSP. I love the patterns and color combinations in this stack. To help highlight the paper, I decorated a gift box. This was the January Stamp Club 3D project in fact! I modified some instructions i had and created an extra large bow to go on top of the box. I also added a belly band for more visual interest, a flower in the center of the bow and a gift tag. Overall a super cute box! My stamp club ladies made variations using different paper and pattern combos.

To make the bow, you need four pieces of DSP:

  • 3" x 11" -- top loop
  • 3" x 9" -- middle loop
  • 3" x 7" -- base

Punch the three large strips in the middle. Fold over the ends of the top and middle piece and secure with glue dots to create the loops. Layer and glue together. Finish the card off with a strip around the middle section and punch the tails.

To make the belly band, you need two pieces of DSP each 3" x 12". Glue together and lay flat. At one end, score at 4 1/2" and 6 1/4". Start at the 6 1/4" score mark and score from there at 6 1/4". Finally score at 4 1/2" from the last score mark. This should wrap around the box and be able to be attached at the top under the bow.

Detail of the bow:

Detail of the gift tag:

Colored Flowers

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite Sale-a-bration item. Hands down my favorite item is the Flowering Fields Stamp Set. I always love to color and this stamp is the perfect choice. I started with randomly stamping some of the floral images. Then, I did a bit of messy coloring with my markers to create this image. I love how the color is not quite inside the lines. From there I layered my piece on top of some DSP and coordinating cardstock. As a finishing touch, I added a strip of washi tape.

  • Stamps: Flowering Fields
  • Inks: Basic Black; Old Olive; Lost Lagoon; Calypso Coral
  • Cardstock: Wildflower Fields DSP; Mossy Meadow; Blackberry Bliss; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Botanical Gardens Washi Tape
