Best Paisleys

Today’s card is a simple one layer stamped card. I wanted to make a card with the Paisleys and Posies stamp set, but some of the examples I found on Pinterest were just too many layers or too busy for my taste. And I stumbled upon some one layer stamped cards. Perfect! I layered on some different paisley pieces in Rich Razzleberry and Delightful Dijon. A simple sentiment and I was done. Easy card for today!

Blue Birthday

Today’s card has so many fun layers and patterns. I wanted to create a great birthday card featuring one of the new Glimmer papers. I chose to play off the Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper and started layering from there. I ended up making an all blue card. You could recreate this card in any color. Perfect for festive birthdays.

My card features my favorite Sale-a-Bration item: Tasty Trucks Stamp Set. This little truck is too cute and can be made into so many different styles. I went with a cupcake truck today complete with a cupcake pyramid. After coloring in my truck, I added a few DSP layers to give it some extra oomph. To finish the card, I added a trio of gold enamel circles.

Peekaboo Cheers

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of the new SAB items. Upon their release I immediately acquired the Glimmer Paper Assortment pack and the Reverse Words stamp set. For this card, I inked my "Cheers" image using the Peekaboo Peach ombre stamp pad. This created the distressed look that I was aiming for. The focal sentiment was inked up in solid Peekaboo Peach. From there, I layered on some DSP and finished off the card with a flower and a few accessories.

My card is simple, but I really loved making it. I haven't used the Papillon Potpurri stamp set and butterfly punches in such a long time and I don't know why. I love butterflies! So I pulled it back out and went to town mixing the colors with a fun background. Simple yet effective. That seems to be my style right now and I'm okay with it!

Today's card features a simple design with a big visual impact. I love working with washi, but I haven't pulled out the Affectionately Yours Washi Tape set in a few months. Time to rectify that with a fun card featuring lots of washi tape. I also pulled out a retired, but still loved stamp set to offset the washi with a big greeting!

Textured Framed Bloom

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card with a forgotten favorite from the annual catalog. I resisted when I first saw this set, but eventually I bought the Birthday Blooms stamp set. And ever since, I have loved it so much! i use this set all the time. I love to change how it looks. I love to color it in different ways using different colors. For this card, I took my design from a previous card. I kept it very simple with a fun texture layer as a base. On top, I stamped the bloom, colored it, and drew a frame to help feature the bloom. I oh so love this card!
