30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 30

For the last day of 30 Days of Christmas Cards, I went a bit crazy with my gold embossing powder. I actually embossed about 10 different images. I'll be using those on other cards or in my December Daily.

Today's card features one of my favorite retired SU stamps: Star Tree. I love the simplicity of this stamp. And yet, I always forget I own it until I start digging in my Christmas supply box As this embossed image is so striking in person, I decided to do a simple pattern paper background and some layering cardstock. The card was still missing something. Thankfully I finally found my misplaced Home for Christmas Enamel Dots. Perfect finish!

Here's a nicer shot for the embossed tree.

Sweet Birthday

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a masculine card. While my card may have an ice cream cone on it, I think this can easily be used for a man...

I had almost an entire stack of this Nordic Noel DSP hanging out doing nothing. So of course I wanted to feature it on a card. Simple layering and some sparkly accessories complete today's card.

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 28

Today's card is actually a trio of cards. After almost a month of making cards, I have a ton of scraps laying around the desk. I hate to throw them away, but what to make with them? Of course, a banner card! I jazzed this one up a bit by embossing the vanilla piece and adding a simple sentiment on the bottom. The inside includes a little Christmas quote.

 The green card:

30 Days of Christmas Cards Day 27

Last card from that die cut pack. I finally found a use for this large gingerbread man.

A Rainy Day

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a Sprinkles of Life card. Once again, I am using Sprinkles of Life for my Friday Favorite. I borrowed the set from a friend and have fallen in love with it!

I decided to play a bit with my new watercolor paper. I simply painted on some Lost Lagoon ink to create a stormy background. It looks much better in person I promise. From there, I added the clouds and raindrops to great the focal point of the card.

  • Cardstock: Watercolor Paper; Smoky Slate; Pool Party

Bushel of Apples

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a simple thank you card. I love making Thank You cards almost as much as I love send them out. For today's card, I decided to to try my hand at a bushel full of apples. The trick is that you have to punch these apples out but punching them out also punches random bits from their parts of the punch. So it took me forever to punch out about 12 apples. But I think the effect is worth it! I love the cute little basket on a tag. And the polka dot paper just makes it for me!

Nutcracker GC Holders

Today’s card is featured over at Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration and features a Christmas card challenge. This month I also joined Punk Projects for their 30 Days of Christmas Cards challenge.

For today's project, I decided to move beyond a greeting a card and made a few gift card holders. These are incredibly easy to make. Cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 2" and 6". Fold. Glue down the bottom flap. Add some patterned paper and a belly band and voila! Instant gift card holder! For these ones, I added a cute little nutcracker embellishment to help finish off the look!

I did a few more GC holders of different looks, colors, and papers.
