Blackberry Vases

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a monochromatic card using a retiring in color. Of course my favorite in color is Blackberry Bliss. I love all the purples! I decided to play with color resist to highlight the color and retiring stamp set. I am loving the end result!

Coloring Fun

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using Stampin' Up's Stampin' Write Markers. I love to color so this was the perfect challenge for me today!

I started with my Vivid Vases stamp. This is the perfect stamp to color! The combinations are endless. To help with all the choices, I picked a blue, green, and purple color scheme. From there I stamped the image without the sentiment on the bottom (I just wiped the sentiment free of ink with a baby wipe before stamping). I grabbed my markers and started coloring. I love the color combos I created! They really pop in person! Since I didn't use the sentiment attached to Vivid Vases, I had to add my own. I chose a sentiment from my current favorite sentiment set: Happy Happenings. I layered my stamped image onto some nice Pool Party patterned paper and Bermuda Bay card base. Some Lost Lagoon washi tape and Bermuda Bay sequins complete the look!

SSINKCC24: Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral, Elegant Eggplant

Today's card is featured over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration and features a fun color challenge: Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral, Elegant Eggplant. Another color combination that screams summer!

I decided to showcase the colors with a bit of coloring. I love the Vivid Vases stamp. It's simple but lots of fun to color in different combinations. Thankfully I had markers in all three of the featured colors. Perfect to spend a few minuets coloring the vases. Instead of loading on the embellishments, I chose to add just two strips of washi tape and be done. Clean and simple is really my fall back style!

Floral Cards #1

For one of my March-April classes, I knew that I wanted to focus on flowers. Spring is perfect for flowers, and the Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure have some great flowers.

Card #1

I reluctantly got the Lotus Blossom from the SAB brochure a few weeks back. I say reluctantly, because I wasn't initially in love with the stamp set. I thought the triple stamping would be complicated and annoying. To my surprise, it was very simple. I found a great pic from Pinterest that details some great color combinations. Taking that as a starting point, I played around with the colors that I have and came up with three great blossoms.  In the end, I'm really enjoying this stamp set. I need to play around with color combinations a bit more.

Card #2

My second card today is all about coloring. I received a ton of Blendabilities as SAB rewards and this is the perfect card to play with them. I colored each vase using the Blendabilities. Then I colored the DSP using one shade of each Blendabilities set. I love how colorful this card turned out to be. I realized that even though I used Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities, Crushed Curry and Perfect Plum cardstock looked better as bases. I hope my class participants like coloring this card as much as I did.
