Time for a Cuppa

Today’s card is a beauty! I saw a card on Pinterest that used an embossed piece of paper as a background layering it on top of a piece of same colored cardstock. I forgot how much I love that look so this is my card recreating the idea. After embossing my piece of Highland Heather cardstock, I added a bit of Gingham Gala DSP to the bottom to create a table of sorts. I set my colored tea cup on that table adding some flowers and tying it together with ribbon. My final touch was to add a few Highland Heather sequins to the centers of the embossed flowers.

Desktop Tuesday #2

Currently in between projects. The Project Life stack on the right side is waiting on more page protectors so I can actually do the spreads. Quentin’s album was stuck all the way back in February 2017. I’ve printed the pics through July 2017 and got them sorted. Just need to put in pages, journal a bit, and embellish. I also have an storage case under the desk with all the card kits. Waiting on plastic sleeves to make the kits and prep to send out. I might take some time to work on some cards for February today.

Today’s card is a CASE from the Stampin’ Success magazine for demos. I saw this cute butterfly trio card and knew I had to recreate it! Jar of Sweets

Today’s card is another from the How Sweet it Is Suite! I just love the fun colors of the suite and wanted to make a few candy-filled cards. This particular design is a CASE from the demonstrator magazine Stampin’ Success. I loved the look of layered pieces and highlighted colors. I change the sentiment piece and added some glitter enamel dots (from the annual catalog), but kept the design the same!

150599G.jpg

2) Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Bundle (150599 $35.00) — I was so sad to when SU retired our previous butterfly punches. Thank goodness they replaced them with something just as beautiful. This bundle comes with a set of fun layering stamps and a coordinating punch! (Check out the SAB products below for beautiful coordinating DSP)

148795G.jpg

3) Happiness Blooms 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper (148795 $11.00) — I look at the patterns and colors in this paper pack and they just make me happy. Guess it’s a perfectly named DSP pack!

148805G.jpg

4) Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (148805 $7.00) — Coordinating with the Happiness Blooms DSP pack, SU has given us another fun set of enamel dots. I love these little embellishments to elevate a card from okay to amazing!

148530G.jpg

5) Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (148530 $10.00) — Embossing folders can be deceiving. In the catalogs they often don’t look like much, but once you use them on a card, you’ll want them all! This one has such a fun and unique pattern. I had to have it!

148779G.jpg

6) Tea Together Cling Stamp Set (148779 $22.00) — I can never resist a cute beverage inspired stamp set. And this one coordinates with an awesome SAB product! (Check it out below)

148807G.jpg

7) Needlepoint Nook 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper (148807 $11.00) — This is the other patterned paper pack that makes my heart sing. I love the florals! I love the colors! I can’t wait to use this on some great cards.

150579G.jpg

8) Piece of Cake Photopolymer Bundle (150579 $31.50) — Bundles are a great way to get coordinating products and save a bit of money! This bundle is the perfect size and price point. I will definitely be making some cute birthday cards out of this one!

148561G.jpg

9) Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins (148561 $7.50) — More shiny!!! I love easy embellishments and these are perfect for that extra something on your cards.

150624G.jpg

10) Amazing Life Photopolymer Bundle (150624 $50.25) — This stamp set it very cute! I can imagine a lot of fun cards coming from this. But this bundle really shines with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits! I love my Stitched Shapes Framelits, but was always a little sad that it didn’t come with rectangles. SU heard our cry and created an entire collection of rectangles!

Reading: A Precious Jewel by Mary Balogh. Went back to my trusty standards: Regency romances.

Watching: We’re in the middle of January movie month around here. Only missed one day so far (for book club so totally valid).

Listening: Lots of hard rock around here. Right now, I’m obsessed with the Resist album from Within Temptation.

Making: Working on some fun Step It Up card sets. Love showing off two different card using the same designs.

Feeling: Excited about upcoming events!

Planning: I just registered for my first Stampin’ Up! convention for April. Previously the conventions have been too far away or ill timed (babies and such). This is the first one I can actually go to and I’m excited. I’ll be joining my good friend Pam in Minneapolis!

Loving: I finished with my December Daily album this week, which means all the Christmas supplies can go into storage for another year! This clears out my crafting area substantially.

Shiny Birthday

Today’s card is a fun and shiny birthday card! I wanted to make a birthday card that wasn’t overly feminine. SO I dug through my DSP stash and found this great gold and white pattern from the Broadway Bound DSP pack and paired it with some greens and blues. The resulting card is a riot of pattern and shine.

Sunday Haul #1

Before Christmas, I placed an order for the newest Mambi Happy Box, but alas, shipments were delayed. At the same time, I added these great goals sheets and color boxes to my order. Those were waiting for me when I got back from Indiana.

I also took advantage of another $1 Wednesday at Fabulously Planned to get these cute coffee kit sheets and January colored boxes and movie marques.

IMG_2762.jpg

And finally my Happy Box arrived! Just check out all these beautiful goodies I got! I can’t wait to use that new sticker book to decorate a few weeks in my planner and that cute mini disc bound notebook to hold my to-do lists!
