While including lots of pictures (of course!), I tried to write more stories. I even played around with the columns to fit in stories and pictures I wanted. The best example of this is the last weekend of the month when I had SU bingo during the day and a big live show at night on Saturday. This was the month that I decided color schemes didn't really matter and I started decorated with what called to me.
A Tranquil Father's Day
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card for Father's Day. I don't like traditional Father's Day cards, but I thought the Paisleys and Posies Stamp Set with the right colors would be perfect. Tranquil Tide is the perfect color for a more masculine card. Pairing it with Basic Gray makes it look more green than blue. After stamping a random pattern, I added a ayer of Basic Gray and an embossed piece of Tranquil Tide. I love repeating layers on my cards. I chose a simple sentiment and embellished it with a silver doily.
- Stamps: Paisleys and Posies; Better Together
- Inks: Tranquil Tide
- Cardstock: Tranquil Tide; Basic Gray; Whisper White
- Accessories: Metallic Doilies
- Tools: Oh My Stars Emboss; Lots of Labels Framelits
Currently
Watching: J and I started watching Supernatural. While it was originally airing, I made it to Season 4 or 5 before life interceded. J has never watched it. We've been meaning to start from the beginning and finally decided to do it.
Reading: Finally got our June book club selection, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. I just started, but so far it is intriguing.
Listening: So many podcasts! I binged the last 10 episodes of The Simple Show. I also caught up with Here to Make Friends (about The Bachelorette) and One Bad Mother. And I started catching up on What Should I Read Next even though I am like 6 months behind.
Making: Working on catching up with Memory Planner pages and Project Life spreads. I a bit behind on each of those projects, but I should have some time to tackle them this month.
Feeling: The twins arrived last Wednesday. All that prep and now we are in a bit of calm.
Planning: We need to do a big grocery visit soon including trips to Costco, Target, Sprouts, and Safeway. This takes some planning on my part...
Loving: While it's nice to have good chats with the twins, my favorite moments are when we are hanging out together being quiet.
SSINKCS46: Abstract Crackle
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the card sketch below:
I decided to feature the new Color Theory DSP stack. I love this crackle look paper so I made it the focus. I simply picked two complimentary colors and repeated them throughout the simple card. The card gave me a chance to use my new Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set and Duet Banner Punch.

A Burst of Berry!
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite 2017-2019 In Color. Hands down my favorite new In Color is Berry Burst! I love love love this gorgeous pink-purple color. To highlight this awesome color, I made a monochromatic card. The new Color Theory DSP has these gorgeous ombre sheets that really set off the stamped sentiment, ribbon, and butterflies. It's hard to tell in the first photo, but I Wink of Stella-ed the cut out butterfly.

A Simple Flower
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a quick and easy card. My idea of quick and easy is something can be completed in less than 15 minutes. This card, while it may look complicated, only took 10 minutes to complete. The longest bit was fussy cutting my flower. I really love this simple card!

Pick a Pattern of Flowers
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of the new product suites. For preorder, I had to have the Pieces and Patterns Stamp Set, Pick a Pattern DSP, and matching Crushed Curry Ribbon. This card is a fun take on pattern play that so trendy right now! A simple design of strips of DSP over a stamped background. I finished off the card with a great sentiment and fun ribbon.
