February 2015 Crafting Goals

A recap of last month’s goals:

• 30 Days of Craft Ideas -- Fail! I just never got around to curating my Pinterest boards.
• Put away/organize my new craft space -- Success! I got everything organized and put away. See my post here for the details.
• Finish my DD album -- Success! I totally finished this within the first two weeks of January.
• Finish 2014 PL albums -- Success! Done and done.
• Prep 2015 PL albums -- Success! I got my supplies around and decided on some style issues. I've even started pulling cards...
• Plan and make winter social crafts -- Success! We got everything ready and had a great time.

This month’s goals:

• January PL pages -- I've got my plan. I've got most of pictures printed. Now I just need to complete my first PL month of 2015.
• Get new Meetup group up and running -- I started a more local group and have a few members. February I want to focus on building a base and figuring out the best days and times for classes.
• Finish retreat crafts -- I've got a few surprises in the works.
• Start Sarah's wedding crafts -- I need to get started on these items for her wedding April.
• Prep examples for March and April classes -- I want to work a month ahead of time. This will ensure that I actually have supplies before class (slip-up this month). I'm thinking flower cards for March.

Sale-a-Bration Simply Wonderful Cards

Any two great cards featuring Sale-a-Bration products. Initially I wasn't super excited about the Simply Wonderful stamp set. It looked a little too plain for me. But then the nice sentiments really grew on me.

Card #1

A nice and simple card highlighting some of the great SAB DSP.

Card #2

For my second card, I wanted to play around with color and pattern. I had the tag mostly white, but it looked way too plain. My stripe decorative mask came to the rescue adding just enough visual interest to complete the card.

Sale-a-Bration Birthday Cards

I love Sale-a-Bration time!  Spend $50 from any of the SU catalogs and get a free exclusive SAB product. Between pre-order and regular orders this January, I've gotten five free products from the SAB brochure. These two cards highlight two of my free products.

Card #1

For my first card, I wanted to have some fun with the sentiment from the Big Day stamp set. Each color is stamped once full strength and then two more times without reinking. We get a nice gradual lightening effect. But just a sentiment seemed much too plain for a card. So I made my own little strip of alternating DSP to step it up a bit. In the end, I needed even more to the card. I added the pom pom trim and everything came together.

Card #2

For the second card I knew I want to plan with coloring. The Big Day stamp set is perfect for coloring. I had so much fun making this card. I want to make more using different colors.

Watching: Attempting to catch up on Reign. My guilty pleasure show.

Reading: Started Outlander again so I can watch the television show.

Listening: J stayed home today to work. His conference call is really loud.

Making: Getting started on our Valentines. Have to start early otherwise I'll forget about them.

Feeling: Had a migraine for almost three days. Still feeling it.

Planning: Trying to decide what cards to use for my January Project Life. I want to use a gray and blue color scheme. We'll see how this goes...

Loving: Yummy caramel apple pie from Safeway. Ready to dig in now.

Sunday Haul #3

A lighter week after the crazy holidays haul... I received my awesome Take Ten kit. I really love the colors from this month.

I also grabbed the first Take Ten kit glam bag. Such cute little embellishments!

December Daily Pages: Days 27-31

Read my first post here. Days 1-13 here. Days 14-21 here. Says 22-26` here. I condensed Days 27-31 into one page. We mostly hung out at the house and enjoyed the warm inside.  Al three boys played with their new toys. It was a very nice relaxing week. The picture in the middle is of Arthur watching the ball drop. So much fun!

The last page in the 2014 is my wrap up page. I included a lot of blog wrap up stats and a few ideas about my 2015 plans. I love the color selection of blue and gray. Very calming for my last page. I'll be back next week with the first pages of my 2015 PL album.

Project Life 2014 W46-47

Week 46

Family Album: Museum visit, farm visit, prepping for moving, and a craft fair. I went with all blue insert cards for a nice cohesive look. I have to do monochromatic spreads more often.

Week 47

Family Album: Our last week before traveling to Indiana. We went to the park, the zoo, book club, and a birthday party. Such cute pictures!

I also included my monthly wrap-up page. This page is place between Week 47 and my December Daily cover page. I condensed November and December into one page instead of two.
