Another year, more planner spreads. I'm a huge fan of The Happy Planner by mambo and this will be my third year using their planners. In this post, I highlight all my weekly spreads from September to Decembert.

Reading: Code Girls by Liza Mundy. I’m over 50% through the book and so far, it’s really good.

Watching: Finishing out our month of movies this week.

Listening: I’ve listened to a few more episodes of Presidential. I’m up to Zachary Taylor. I’ve known a lot of the information presented, but I still find them enjoyable.

Making: I dove back into Quentin’s Project Life album which was stalled in March 2017. I just got my page protectors so I can continue this week.

Feeling: I’m not sure why, but I’m feeling very unmoored this week. Must find a way to stabilize myself.

Planning: Nick and Alex’s 16th birthday is coming up soon. We’re figuring out what kind of party/adventure they want to have.

Loving: I’ve been finding more snipped of time to read more lately. Love it so much!

FMS372: Balmy Butterflies

Today’s card was created using Freshly Made Sketches #372. I just love the simplicity of the design. So many directions I could have gone!

For my card, I started with a strip of Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper and worked from there. I coordinated that strip with a piece of the Gingham Gala DSP in Balmy Blue and cute out some cute butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP pack (SAB item!). I finished off my card with a cute sentiment and some fun sequins. Love this card!

Time for a Cuppa

Today’s card is a beauty! I saw a card on Pinterest that used an embossed piece of paper as a background layering it on top of a piece of same colored cardstock. I forgot how much I love that look so this is my card recreating the idea. After embossing my piece of Highland Heather cardstock, I added a bit of Gingham Gala DSP to the bottom to create a table of sorts. I set my colored tea cup on that table adding some flowers and tying it together with ribbon. My final touch was to add a few Highland Heather sequins to the centers of the embossed flowers.

Desktop Tuesday #2

Currently in between projects. The Project Life stack on the right side is waiting on more page protectors so I can actually do the spreads. Quentin’s album was stuck all the way back in February 2017. I’ve printed the pics through July 2017 and got them sorted. Just need to put in pages, journal a bit, and embellish. I also have an storage case under the desk with all the card kits. Waiting on plastic sleeves to make the kits and prep to send out. I might take some time to work on some cards for February today.

Today’s card is a CASE from the Stampin’ Success magazine for demos. I saw this cute butterfly trio card and knew I had to recreate it! I did change out the background paper, adding my piece of Grapefruit Grove Patterned Paper and modified the dimensions a bit. But the basics of the card is the same!

Today’s card is another from the How Sweet it Is Suite! I just love the fun colors of the suite and wanted to make a few candy-filled cards. This particular design is a CASE from the demonstrator magazine Stampin’ Success. I loved the look of layered pieces and highlighted colors. I change the sentiment piece and added some glitter enamel dots (from the annual catalog), but kept the design the same!

The new Occasions Catalog is live! And it has so many great goodies within its pages. Today I’m sharing my Top Ten products from the catalog and my Top Three Sale-a-Bration items!

5) Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (148530 $10.00) — Embossing folders can be deceiving. In the catalogs they often don’t look like much, but once you use them on a card, you’ll want them all! This one has such a fun and unique pattern. I had to have it!

7) Needlepoint Nook 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper (148807 $11.00) — This is the other patterned paper pack that makes my heart sing. I love the florals! I love the colors! I can’t wait to use this on some great cards.

10) Amazing Life Photopolymer Bundle (150624 $50.25) — This stamp set it very cute! I can imagine a lot of fun cards coming from this. But this bundle really shines with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits! I love my Stitched Shapes Framelits, but was always a little sad that it didn’t come with rectangles. SU heard our cry and created an entire collection of rectangles!
