Once a zombie, always a zombie?

Dave and Sarah are pretty happy in the Middle-of-Nowhere, Montana. They’ve done their part in saving the world (kind of) and now they’re settling in for a long life of killing straggler zombies. Well, they think that’s what they’re doing until a helicopter lands on their front lawn with old friends Nicole Nessing and Robbie “The Kid” on board. They propose a dangerous plan: Dave and Sarah must return to Seattle and use Dave’s Superpowers to help with the final stages of a formula that will not only wipe out most of the zombies, but innocluate humans against the virus.

Going back to Seattle was never in the plan. Especially since Sarah has a few secrets of her own that could change her marriage, increase the danger they’re facing and even alter the future they’re so desperately trying to save.

A fitting end to the series, but it felt a bit rushed.  I would have like a bit more drawn out storyline and action.  Maybe a bit more character development.  It felt a little odd to see all the old characters in one place, but of course it's all a plot device.  I did like the idea of returning to the scene of the crime, so to speak.  And the big surprise... guessed it in about the first 5 pages.  Overall, I still love traveling the zombie filled west with David and Sarah.  I was just wishing for a little more something to give them a proper send-off.

Avery Andrews is her name and directing celebrity telethons after tragedies is her game. But the Northwestern Zombie Outbreak isn't your average tragedy... and once the infection spreads to the studio, Avery and her crew will have to worry about staying alive, not ratings.

A cute little zombie story to add to my Living with the Dead series.  I was super excited to snap this one up on Kindle for cheap.  Unfortunately, it is so short, I just couldn't give it 5 stars.  I did really love it.  The characters were fun.  The storyline had a ton of potential.  It just wasn't enough to really make me love it.

How I Got It: Library Loan

Sarah and David have survived the zombie apocalypse. They stood side by side and fought the undead, mad scientists, and even bionic monsters until the unthinkable happened. A zombie bite. But not even that could stop them. Now, with a possible cure in hand, they're headed east, looking for a safe zone behind the rumored "Wall." They're feeling pretty optimistic. That is until Dave stops sleeping and starts lifting huge objects.

Eat. Slay. Love.

Because they haven't got a prayer.

The conclusion to the trilogy.  I fell in love with David and Sarah with the first book.  I really hoped their story would end happily, but with zombie books you just never know.  I love how these books are romantic comedies with zombies.  Love it!  This series has been my go-to books when I am in the mood for light zombie books.  I started to get a little concerned about halfway through the books with the inclusion of a new character that I really didn't like.  But the dymanic evolved well.  By the end of the book I was racing through the pages to find out what happened.  Thank goodness I had a two-hour plane ride to use.

The Zombie Apocalypse has been good to Sarah and David. Their marriage is better than ever. They communicate well, share responsibilities, and now, they're starting a business. ZombieBusters-for all your zombie extermination needs.

There are lots of zombies and that means lots of customers...Except one of them doesn't want the zombies dead, he wants them alive and ready for experimentation. Mad scientists make for difficult clients and this time, Sarah and David might have bitten off more than they can chew.

Book 2 in the Living with the Dead series doesn't fail to entertain.  The first book found David and Sarah Walker dealing with a collapsing marriage and a zombie apocalypse.  This time they're back with a strong marriage and a new business venture, Zombie Exterminators, Inc.  They're joined by a slightly weird 11 year old and a creepy scientist.  As soon as the second book came out, I ran to the library (okay I didn't run, but definitely got there fast) and searched for the book.  It wasn't on the shelf!  NO!!!  I looked in the catalogue, and it was there, but in a mysterious part labeled "Popular Library."  Don't fear, I figured it out and found the recognizable hot pink cover.

All around, a rollicking good zombie killing time.  I do love zombie stories that don't take themselves too seriously.  The series does a great job at including funny one liners and pop culture references.  Very excited about this series.  A quick read, but lots of fun.  Definitely can't wait until the third book comes out.  Alas no definite date set...  Just have to wait and find out if Sarah and David find the fabled Western Wall.
