Somehow I had missed that there was to be a fourth book in this series, but I’m glad there was. It would have been tragic to leave Camille in a state of depression for the entire series. I’m glad that she finally gets to find some happiness in this volume. While I enjoyed seeing her start to work through her trauma after her forced marriage to Hereford, I wasn’t completely convinced of the relationship between her and Jacob. Sure, he was a great guy to help her explore intimacy, but he always seemed to have the upper hand in all their interactions. I would have liked to see more vulnerability from, him and a mutual growth. Guess I just prefer stronger female main characters in my romances. Still, an enjoyable history romance to finish out the series.

The best book out the series so far! I absolutely loved this story of a fake engagement turned real feelings all wrapped up in the history of Helena and Max’s family’s business dealings. I loved seeing two character actually talk to one another before making ridiculous decisions. I loved the conversations about the plight of single mothers and women in the industrial age. I loved the string characters stand up for their own feelings while also being cognizant of the other’s feelings. This one had so much good communication and lovely romance. So good!

Christian needs an heiress to rebuild his Scottish estate but the more time he spends with Violet, the more he realizes what he really needs is her--by his side, near his heart, in his bed.

Though Christian's burning glances offer unholy temptation, Violet has no intention of surrendering herself or her newfound freedom in a permanent deal with the devil. It's going to take more than pretty words to prove this fortune hunter's love is true....

A decent follow-up to the first book in the series. I enjoyed Christian throughout the book, but I must say that Violet wasn’t really my favorite. She was just not the best character and foil to Christian. She was much too naive throughout the book and I kept rolling my eyes at her behavior. The actual plot line was decent, but I wanted a bit more banter between my leads. I’ll definitely keep reading this series. I sometimes just need something light and predictable.

When it's clear that August's outrageously progressive ways render her unsuitable for a respectable match, her parents offer up her younger sister to the highest entitled bidder instead. This simply will not do. August refuses to leave her sister to the mercy of a loveless marriage.

Evan Sterling, the Duke of Rothschild, has no intention of walking away from the marriage. He's recently inherited the title only to find his coffers empty, and with countless lives depending on him, he can't walk away from the fortune a Crenshaw heiress would bring him. But after meeting her fiery sister, he realizes Violet isn't the heiress he wants. He wants August, and he always gets what he wants.

But August won't go peacefully to her fate. She decides to show Rothschild that she's no typical London wallflower. Little does she realize that every stunt she pulls to make him call off the wedding only makes him like her even more.

We get the classic trope of a man courting/engaged to a sister. In this case, we quickly meet August and follow her as she visits England and encounters a mysterious man in a boxing ring. Of course that man is our male lead. The story then follows the twists and turns of their budding relationship and ends with the classic HEA. This book wasn’t anything surprising or new; I predicted just about everything in the pages. But sometimes, that’s just perfect for my reading. I wanted to pick up a comforting romance without too much angst and this was a great choice. I’m definitely going to be reading further into this series.
