It's my 30th birthday year. As part of my celebrations, I thought I would take my birthday month to reflect on my life. To help, I am using some of my scrapbooked pages to illustrate my life. For each year, I've chosen a few pages to highlight that year. I hope you enjoy my look back as much as I do.
1987: I was five! This is where my life really started (at least according to my memories). We moved, I got a dog, I started kindergarten. It was a great year!
Page 1: My first trip to Disney World! I loved every minute of it. I especially liked meeting Cinderella. Let's face it, little girls love meeting the princesses. We even had dinner in the castle. For some reason the only pics I could find were of me and Cinderella and me on Dumbo. Odd, I am sure there were more. Oh well, you still get the idea.
Page 2: We built a house! Of course it is decorated in 1980s chic. Note the frilly red and white strawberry curtains in the kitchen. Ugly! But I loved that house. It is the first one where I can recall the entire layout and decor. I especially loved watching it being built as evidenced by my twirling in the frame.
Page 3: Excuse the blurry photography. But notice the wondrous pink and white bedroom! I loved that bedroom. Later on, I even got my own desk to go to the right of the window. I still have that quilt hanging on the wall. If I'm not mistaken, my late great-grandma Helen (in pic above) made it for me. The other highlight of the year was getting a dog: Milkdud. Isn't he adorable? In reality, he loved to bite and raise holy hell all over the house.
