Need a Cup?

Today’s card is a complete throwback. I love the Coffee Cafe stamp set and assorted products, but they all retired last year. Boo!!! I still love my set and refuse to sell them. So I pulled all the products out and made a fun coffee card for this week. I know I’ve made this card design before, but it’s too good to not bring it back.

Rococo Petals

Today’s card features the new In Color Rococo Rose. This is a nice dusty pink. I modeled this card off of a few examples I found on Pinterest. I love the piece of embossed cardstock layered on the same color card base. It creates texture without a lot of work. From there, I stamped, punched, and layered some flowers and leaves. Love how this card came together.

July Crafting Goals

A recap of last month’s goals:

• Finish Q’s 2018 PL Album - Fail. I haven’t been back into my Project Life albums for over a month.

• May Memory Planner Pages - Almost success! So close… most of the pages are done, but I need to add a few more things and photograph them for the blog.

• Create a WITL kit - Fail.

• Gather items for a craft sale - Success. Everything has been pulled and priced.

• Organize road trip pics, miscellanea, and thoughts for albums - Fail. There’s a large pile on my desk right now.

• Schedule WITL for July - Fail. I think I’m going to push this to late August, early September.

• Create 10 cards (classes and just blog posts) - Fail. June was apparently super busy.

July’s Goals: Keeping it light as there is so much going on.

• May and June MP Pages - May is just about done and June has been started.

• Create 10 cards (classes and for the blog) - I have two started and need to make some more for the month.

• Schedule classes for the month - I’m thinking a Christmas in July class and maybe a DSP class.

Seaside Balloons

Today’s card Is a simple card highlighting the new Seaside Spray In Color. This is a nice light blue with hints of gray. I definitely like it better than Balmy Blue (too bright for me). I simply stamped and punched a few hot air balloons. and layered some pieces of cardstock.

Today’s card is super simple and yet so delightful. I paired this gorgeous gingham paper with simple stamped and punched daisies. Sometimes the simplest cards are just what you need.

Reading: The Huntress by Kate Quinn. It’s not as good as The Alice Network, but still pretty good book.

Watching: Slowly working through Game of Thrones S2.

Listening: I finally subscribed to NPR’s Throughline and have really been enjoying it.

Making: The hot weather calls for making cocktails.

Feeling: The temps have been up all week. I’m just always hot.

Planning: Working on a few activities for next week. We need to decide what we’re doing for the Fourth of July.

Loving: I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m addicted to Sonic’s Cherry Limeades. Oh so good!

Peacock Butterfly

Today’s card features my favorite new In Color: Pretty Peacock. I though I really love Tranquil Tide that just retired, but this color is even better. It has more blue than green and is such a great deep color! I applied ink to a piece of white cardstock using a brayer to create my background for my embossed butterfly. I love how the gold powder sorta stuck to the inside of the butterfly to create an interesting texture. From there, I cut out a corner of DSP to create a base and then added a sentiment and some gems.

Technically I received this box last week, but I forgot to actually take a picture this week. I bought the Amy Tangerine Happy Planner Box and love all the fun rainbow designs. I can’t wait to us all my items!

Posy Butterflies

Today’s card starts my series featuring the new 2019-2021 In Colors. I love them as a set, but wanted to highlight each color on its own. First up is Purple Posy. This light purple pairs nicely with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. For my card, I pulled a piece of retired DSP featuring Highland Heather and a piece of new In Color DSP as a background. I then added a nice pearlized doily and stamped and punched butterflies.
