Up in the Air

Today’s card is all about the cute new stamp set: Above the Clouds. I love hot air balloons and this stamp set is just too adorable! I pulled out some scraps of paper from the Garden Impressions DSP pack from last catalog and pulled my colors from the scrap piece. I love this simple card.

Mosaic Scene

I finally pulled out all my new cardmaking goodies and got creative! I started with the Mosaic Mood DSP pack that I got from OnStage. In looking at the new catalog, I knew that I had to have this entire suite! I love the images and the color combination! For today’s card, I created a little scene featuring one of the mosaic humming birds and some nice decor. My favorite part is the strip of DSP on the bottom.

Sunday Haul #9

In the past few weeks, I’ve had three orders arrive from Nerd’s the Word Sticker Co. I love love love all her designs and had to take advantage of all the great sales and new releases. My favorite is definitely the monthly kits. I can’t wait to finish applying them to my planner.

2019-2021 In Color Bookmarks

With the launch of every new Annual Catalog, I make In Color bookmarks for my customers. They are such a fun way to show off the new In Colors and create a handy tool. For this year’s bookmark, I wanted to feature the cardstock and the ink. So I turned to the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set to create these lovely butterflies. Simple and effective!

June Crafting Goals

A recap of last month’s goals: May got away from me. I just didn’t do much crafting at all. Hoping June works better…

• Gather items for a craft sale - Fail.

June’s Goals:

• Finish Q’s 2018 PL Album - I really want to knock this last little bit out.

• May Memory Planner Pages - Usual goal to stay on top of.

• Create a WITL kit - I have some random things in a special box, but want to really get this organized.

• Gather items for a craft sale - Shooting for having everything ready for crop day on June 9th.

• Organize road trip pics, miscellanea, and thoughts for album - Our big road trip is this month. I think I’m going to document in a separate smaller album, but I want to just get everything together once we return.

• Schedule WITL for July - I want to do a week when the twins are here, but June is too crazy with weird events. Thinking the second week in July…

• Create 10 cards (classes and just blog posts) - My card making just disappeared during May. Hoping to get back at it and play with all the new products I have but haven’t used.

Reading: Naughty in Nice by Rhys Bowen — loving this cozy mystery series!

Watching: Still working through Games of Thrones S1.

Listening: I caught up on some other podcasts, so I started Aaron Mahnke’s Unobscured about the Salem Witch Trials.

Feeling: There are a few things up in the air right now. I’m a bit anxious. Will feel much better after this weekend passes.

Planning: We heading over to Indiana this weekend for Memorial Day and to pick up the twins. Looking forward to our activities!

Loving: The grocery stores around here carry rhubarb (so scarce in California) and I’ve been buying a ton. I’ve been making a ton of rhubarb dishes. So good!

Today’s card features a multitude of fussy cut birthday cakes. I wasn’t a huge fan of the piece of DSP that featured these cakes (too busy for me), but it was perfect to cut up. This card has so many layers that in person, it looks even better.

The 100 Day Project 2019 Update #3

I’ll probably also throw in some card that I’ll make from start to finish throughout the 100 days. And there’s usually a surprise project that crops up. So I’m not going to restrict myself too much. I just want to work on one of my projects each day. The daily time could be 5 minutes or 2 hours, but the idea is to do something toward one of my craft projects. I’m going to do weekly (or biweekly) posts on here with my progress. And I’m going to try to document daily on instagram (@TFrances19).

Well life sorta happened this past weeks and my stressors were off the charts. I only completed a few crafty things and apparently didn’t put any of them on Instagram.
