Blended Beautiful Day

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite coloring technique. I go back and forth between technique, but currently I really love coloring with the Stampin' Blends. For my card, I stamped the large flower and sentiment from Beautiful Day and heat embossed them with gold powder. From there I choose a few fun colors and started filling in the flowers. Easy peasy with great results!!

Sunday Haul #14

I popped into Michael's to scout party supplies and stumbled upon the new 18 month Happy Planners. I couldn't resist this gorgeous rainbow planner! Guess I'm going to switch over from my current planner in September. I also got this cute planner stamp in a clearance bin.

My August Stamp Club and Holiday Catalog preorder came!!! I ordered my August club products early so we could play with them. For preorder, I bought all of the papers (for paper shares and play) and a select group of extra supplies.

Orange Abstract

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite Annual Catalog stamp set. Hands down I love the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. I've had so much fun creating layered floral images. And the sentiments are just about perfect! For this card, I had fun CASEing a great card from Chat Wszelaki @ Me, My Stamps, and I. I changed a few things here and there, but kept the great design. Such a perfect card!

Reading: The Stolen Bride by Jo Beverley. I turned to some fun Regency Romance for this week.

Watching: J and I are getting close to finishing Supernatural S5.

Listening: I completely forgot about listening to Annotated S2 and rediscovered it on my podcast app. Yeah!! I'm four episodes in and I'm loving the collection of topics.

Making: Attempting to finish my Family Project Life spreads so I can pack away the supplies.

Feeling: Calmer this week. Hoping it lasts.

Planning: We're having a Mad Science Party for the boys's birthday party. I'm busy planning the science experiments that we will be featuring.

Loving: Having a to-do list to tackle every couple of days is keeping me on track. Usually I make them on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Throwback Christmas

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the sketch below.

I always love playing along with sketch challenges. They give me a template while allowing for lots of fun paper, stamp, and embellishment choices. For this card, I really wanted to make a fun Christmas card. I paired the new Christmas DSP with a carried-over stamp set. Throw in some fun Stitched Shapes Die and fun Gold Faceted Gems and we get a complete card.

Sunday Haul #13

Popped into Michael's for some snail. Also grabbed this cute washi tape tube (Llamas!!!) and some glue dots.

Addition to my last Stampin' Up! order. I think Shaded Spruce and Merry Merlot are going to be perfect for Christmas cards. And I threw in a Flirty Flamingo ink refill. My pad is getting a bit dry.

Lastly I got my Planner Addict Box and add-on items. Love the box full of summer fun, but really in love with the coral reef papers and washi tape.

I grabbed some cute planner stickers from Nerds the Word. Love these Wacky Holidays sheets!

CASEing Diana

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from fellow Design Team Member Diana Eichfeld. I love Diana's clean style and use of Designer Series Paper. For this card, I CASEd a simple and yet beautiful Petal Promenade card. See her card here! I loved her focus on the DSP with an added bit of shine. So I decided to create my own using my current favorite paper stack: Garden Impressions. Once I picked a beautiful paper pattern, I pulled coordinating cardstock and this beautiful Blushing Bride Shimmer ribbon to tie everything together.

August Crafting Goals

A recap of last month’s goals: Turn's out that July was just not my month when it came to crafting. I ended up taking an unscheduled blogging break for two weeks. I just couldn't keep up with everything else going on.

August Goals: We are moving at the end of September, so I need to streamline my crafting projects and goals.

• May, June, July 2018 PL Pages -- I'm getting behind!!! I have the pictures printed so I just need to make my spreads. 
• June and July MP Pages -- I also want to catch up in this project.
• August and September SSINK posts -- I had to take a break so now I'm behind.
• Fall Bingo Make n Takes -- I think I have decided on what to buy and feature, but now I need to order and make the examples. 
• August Stamp Club Projects -- My last stamp club while in California. 
• Organize planner supplies -- I need to figure out what I am packing and what to leave out for travel time.
• Pack up PL supplies -- I need to finish the first listed project so I can then finish this goal.
