Watching: The Kingsman. A movie that didn't take itself too seriously, I'm loving it!

Reading: Fire by Kristin Cashore. I hope to finish it today sometime. I only have about 100 pages left.

Listening: Amy Winehouse Pandora channel. Loving the mix of old and new on that channel.

Making: Teriyaki chicken is in the crockpot for dinner. I like to make mine with extra sauce to pour over the rice. Yum yum!

Feeling: Arthur finally slept through the night again. I woke up today at 7:30am feeling well-rested. However it's a bit chilly here today, so socks are must!

Planning: It's time for the parents' group biannual membership survey. I keep many of the same questions each time, but like to customize to the season, etc. Thinking of some different questions and activities today.

Loving: Really enjoying my hazelnut flavored coffee today. I'm on my second cup!

5 on 5

1. Sorting through all my SU DSP that's retiring come June. I've still got a fair amount of paper leftover. Need to do something with this.

2. Getting our craft supplies around for preschool on Thursday. We're painting tea towels for Mother's Day.

3. Choosing my color palette for May's Project Life pages. I'm thinking yellow, pink, and purple with lots of florals thrown in.

4. Pulling out my newly printed pictures to finish April's Project Life pages. Only two more pages to go!

5. Admiring my pretty new bags from Thirty-One Gifts. I just joined as a consultant a few days ago and am so excited to get started selling!  If you want your own pretties, please follow the link to my first party. While there, check out the great sales going on in May.  https://www.mythirtyone.com/1680775/shop/Party/EventDetail/8186877

Watching: Our server is down right now so I have to content myself with Netflix selections. I'm back to watching Hart of Dixie.

Reading: I wrote this list last night while I was still reading Witchcraze. I have since finished that book and started Seducing an Angel by Mary Balogh.

Listening: Really digging Florence + the Machine's new songs. Can't wait for the entire album.

Making: Attempting to finish up my April Project Life pages. Almost done, but I need to do another small photo order.

Feeling: I've been grumpy all day (Sunday) for no good reason. This morning I am extremely sore. I think I pinched something in my side. Lots of stabby little pains.

Planning: Trying to collect the information for the October retreat. I'm running the info meetings next weekend and Wednesday.

Loving: Sunday was sunny but cool and breezy. Perfect snuggling with the toddler weather.

Watching: Gotham. Mom's got me a bit hooked right now. Really loving the character that's going to to become The Riddler.

Reading: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr for book club. Enjoying it, but think we've gotten into a bit of a WWII rut.

Listening: My mother's crazy neighbors play very loud music late at night. They have two small children in the house. It's ridiculous.

Making: Finishing up my friend Sarah's wedding scrapbook. Almost done and going to drop it off at her house today. It turned out really well.

Feeling: I'm excited to be going home on Tuesday. Arthur and I can't wait.

Planning: Getting everything ready to head home...

Loving: I'm going home soon... Woohoo!

I'm on Spring Break!

With everything going on this week (hello friend's wedding!), I am a bit overwhelmed. So I am taking the week off from the blog. I'll be back next Monday with some crafts and the usual news posts.

Arthur and I arrived in Indiana Tuesday, so my Currently list may look a little odd.

Watching: Dinosaur Train. Okay, I’m not really watching it, but the baby is. Not my favorite but mom only has like five channels so it’s this or Judge Judy crap.

Reading: Yes, Please by Amy Poehler. Finally starting this one for book club.

Listening: Doing a load of laundry…

Making: Working on the bridal shower center pieces/favors today. Need them all done by Saturday for the shower on Sunday.

Feeling: Cold… It was nice and warm at home in California. It’s a high of 40 degrees today in Indiana. Ugh!

Planning: Getting all our weekend plans around. We’ve got the twin’s party on Saturday and the bridal shower on Sunday.

Loving: The twins are on spring break this week so lots of fun crazy antics for them to get up to.Their birthday is tomorrow, but we’re planning on going shopping later today.

OLW February

Let's take a look at what I did this past month for my OLW. This year's focus is HOME.

My monthly intentions:

1. Arthur's room and play area -- Finally they are finished! I added a reading corner complete with Ikea spice racks for shelves. They are the perfect design for Arthur it get the books in and out himself. I hung the nice navy blue blackout curtains. I put up his new solar system decals and the rest of the framed pictures. Part of his birthday banner went over his book shelves along with his finger painted A. The closet is organized at least for now. Finally I hung some of his preschool artwork above the bookshelf. I plan on changing them out as he makes new projects.

As for his playroom, I mainly wanted containers for the toys. I bought one of the toys organization systems from Ikea to hold the bulk of the toys. Arthur can actually take them in and out by himself. This left room for the tent and tunnel to be permanently set up. I went with back ivory curtain panels to add some privacy. Nothing fancy, but they help the room look finished. The only thing not done is to hang something about the alphabet decals. We will probably just hang something that we already have.

2. Co-op home inspection -- Nope. Didn't get to it. February was so busy with activities and things like the retreat that this just never happened. I'm hoping to get this checked out during our hosting of preschool next week.

3. Alameda parent's group -- After looking at my parent group options up here in East Bay, I've decided to start my own. Most charge ~$20 a year for membership for not much benefit. Others just don't do anything. I want my South Bay group in East Bay!

4. Email clean out -- Success! I got my emails under control. Deleted a ton of emails, archived some others, unsubscribed from a ton of newsletters and coupons. Next step is to officially close my Hotmail account.

Extras:

-- I didn't do much else for my word this month.

My OLW Pages:

This month's prompt was to create a vision board. Initially I was very hesitant to the idea. Vision boards just aren't my thing... But after some thought I decided to attempt it. I went into Target, grabbed three magazines, and started cutting them up. I had a few 8x10 canvases left over from preschool. This seemed the perfect size for me to try.

And this is my completed project. I think it turned out well. I decided to use patterns and colors for my base layer. I stayed away from any recognizable image. On top, I added words and phrases that spoke to me. Most of my words relate directly to my word: Home. I've propped this up in my craft area to kept me focused.

5 on 5

Different 5 on 5 for this week. It's my birthday this week, so here's round up of pictures of my presents...

1. My bridesmaid shoes for a friend's wedding April came this week. Cute, comfortable, and not too tall.

2. The mom who went on the retreat got me this great gift basket for organizing everything.

3. Presents from the in-laws. I always love what they get me. Amazon wish lists are amazing. I'm already using the backpack as our current diaper bag.

4. Pretty pretty flowers from my mom.

5. And the best present of all... a non-napping child. Okay not really a great present, but he didn't suffer much from not napping, so
