#23 Plaid Trio

Today's sketch comes from August 2014:

I'm so glad that SU carried over the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set from last year's Holiday Catalog. The images are too cute to get rid of! For this card, I took a page from a Halloween card from last year, flipped it on the side, and switched out the ghouls for Christmas images. Plus, I found a great card to showcase the beautiful plaid paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP.

#22 Simply Wrapped in Warmth

Today's sketch comes from January 2016:

Here's what I originally did:

Today's card is another made from my huge stash of random scraps of paper. Most of the scrap came from old kits and December Daily stash. After pulling out some coordinating patterns, I stamped a simple sentiment, layered my pieces, and added a bit of gold foil washi tape.

#21 Quilted Reindeer

Today's sketch comes from May 2014:

Today's card was the first of many Merry Patterns reindeer cards I made this month. I love the simple nature of the repeating circles with lots of texture and pattern. As a finishing touch, I added some rhinestones to the reindeer's antlers.

#20 Nordic Throwback

Today's sketch comes from February 2017:

Here's what I originally did:

A simple card highlighting the great Nordic Noel DSP. I love the patterns in this, unfortunately retired, paper pack. I decided to not add much to the card. I stamped a simple sentiment and added a few white enamel shapes. Done!

#19 Holiday Flags

Today's sketch comes from June 2014:

At first, I had no idea with to do with this sketch. But then, I stumbled upon a few pieces of pattern paper that included this little flags. I simply fussy cut these flags to create the card. It's a busy card, but I really enjoy this one.

#18 Hexagon Holiday

Today's sketch comes from September 2013:

Another card using a ton of scrap papers from my box. I based my entire card off of the piece of floral DSP I found. I can't remember the name of the paper pack, but I know it's at least 4 years old (probably more). In the end, I really like this pink and green Christmas card.

Today's sketch comes from December 2016:

Here's what I originally did:

Can you tell I love polka dots? I really really do. Thankfully I found some great polka dot papers in my scrap box to use for today's card. I also rediscovered some glimmer paper in the bottom of the the box. Yeah for a super fun polka-dotted sparkly card!

#16 Merry Layers

Today's sketch comes from July 2016:

Here's what I originally did:

I love all the great patterns in the Be Merry DSP pack, so this was the perfect sketch to choose a ton of patterns and layer them. I added a simple sentiment with great stitching. For embellishments, I added the very versatile White Enamel Shapes and a piece of retired ribbon. The Gumball Green ribbon is a different color, but I love how it plays off the Garden Green in the paper.

  • Cardstock: Be Merry DSP; Cherry Cobbler; Whisper White

#14 Glitter Reindeer

Today's sketch comes from March 2017:

Here's what I originally did:

I wanted to do a Christmas card in non-traditional colors, and somehow I ended up with a fun pink, green, and gray Reindeer card filled with some sparkle. I layered on a few pieces of DSP and found a stray piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper at the bottom of my scrap box. Perfect to add that little bit of interest I wanted for the card. For my stamped image, I went with a Smoky Slate reindeer so I could overlay my sentiment in a darker color (in this case Berry Burst to sorta coordinate with the glimmer paper). As a last touch, I added a few Glitter Enamel Shapes as antler ornaments.

  • Inks: Smoky Slate; Berry Burst
  • Cardstock: Neutrals DSP (retired); 2015-2017 In Color DSP (retired); MInt Macaron; Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper
