FF #32: Wedding Style

We are headed to a weeding this weekend down in LA. The wedding is being held on the beach during the morning. This is the exact dress that I really really wanted! Of course, I had to go with something different (price too high, not right size), but I thought I would create my post with what I thought I would wear. This dress hit all my requirements: long length (discourage Marilyn Monroe incidents), patterned or dark color (hide potential stains from baby), and easy to wear. I kept the accessories simple yet striking. The best part is the sandals. I will definitely not be wearing heels in the sand, but these sandals were the right mix of fancy and comfort.

This is my twist on office wear. The pieces are very structured and work appropriate, but the colors and accessories help spice everything up a bit. I love the combo of pink and green with strong black accessories. That handbag could haul all the essentials while still looking very stylish and versatile.

FF #30: Gilded Beauty

This outfit reminds me of Roman costumes. I had to play off of the golden tones in the dress. I never thought I would pair yellow with gold, but something about this dress allows for the combo. If I wore stilettos (and had more money), these shoes would be mine. They are just gorgeous! The Roman coin inspired bracelet adds the perfect final touch.

FF #29: City Style

This outfit feels very Miranda to me. I love the almost contrasting colors being pulled together with the skirt. The skirt itself reminds me of a painting. I know the skirt is navy and the bag is black, but with a classic piece like Chanel, it's okay. You could always substitute a navy clutch or even white. Because of the strong clothing pieces, I kept the jewelry very minimal. I didn't want to clutter the look or overpower any of the pieces.

FF #28: Clean and Casual

I saw this dress and immediately wanted to create a casual outfit to compliment it. For me, I would wear the dress as a tunic, but for those more confident or shorter than I, it would make a cute dress. I kept the clothing pieces neutral to ket the casual vibe. This also always the accessories to really pop. I don't wear hair flowers, but something about this outfit screamed hair flower. On the other hand, I would definitely carry that bag.

FF #27: Museum Visit

I love going to museums, but what to wear? I don't want to show up in a tank top or shorts or a formal dress. Something a bit dressy, but quirky seems just right. I love the unsual combo of black and tan to keep the outfit youthful. The bag is the perfect size to carry the essentials and not have to check the bag at the security desk (the worst thing!). The earrings remind me of a piece from a natural history museum and the boots from an art museum. Perfect pieces!

FF #26: Game Night

We loving have game night. But I don't want to wear my sweats while playing, especially if we go somewhere or have others over. This outfit is a great compromise between fashion and comfort. What to wear when you need to transition from the pool to dinner? I think I've found a great solution. Pair this great graphic dress with sandals and tote for the pool. then you can change into fancier sandals and a nicer clutch. Add a fun bright blazer and some great accessories and the outfit's ready for dinner. The best part is that you could wear the bathing suit underneath the dress for dinner.

I saw this dress on Polyvore and knew that I had to create some outfit around it. It screams retro spring. I decided that the dress would be the perfect Mother's Day brunch outfit. FF #14: Tea Time

This is a cute modern day version of a tea outfit. The skirt and shoes evoke a 1950s vibe. I love the polka dot pattern! But the shirt and blazer are thoroughly modern. I love the color combination! Bright and yet subtle. And if it gets hot, the shirt had nice detailing to help it stand without the blazer. The bag and necklace complete the outfit. You always need a good bag for tea.

FF #13: Pattern Play III

For these Fashion Fridays, I love mixing patterns. I don't do that in real life; I wish I had the courage. Anyway, I love the almost neutral nature of the skirt and shirt. The patterns aren't so busy that they complete with each other. Instead, I think they compliment each other. I especially love the almost optical illusion quality of the skirt.
