Life Right Now #31

Right now I am: Sitting surrounded by project stacks. I need to get some house organization stuff done this morning and prepare for tonight’s Co-op meeting.

On my bedside table: I have a giant stack of library books that I checked out to find a book for Dirty Book Month. I really need to start previewing them…

On my tv this week: J and I are about halfway through S4 of Babylon 5. We will finish this season by the end of the month. The last season will probably have to wait until January. I am slowly working my way through My Dearest Nemesis, but not as slowly as when I watched The Nice Guy. Hoping to finish by January. Only 8 episodes to go!

Listening to: Stray Kids of course! They were my top artist on Apple Music for 2025 and by a very very large margin. Just how I like it!

On the menu for this week: I need to meal plan for the second half of the week.

Looking around the house: Q dropped a bag of flour in the kitchen yesterday, leading to him and Nick cleaning the floors. So things are looking pretty nice.

From the camera: Went to the Asian Market for ramen and things and found these babies! Unfortunately they only had the four members. I would have bought all eight if they had had them.

Life Right Now #30

As I look outside my window: Within two days, all the leaves on the trees fell. We went from beautiful fall colors to nothing. I’m a bit sad that they didn’t hang on for a bit longer.

Right now I am: Heading out to the Enrichment Co-op Steering Meeting at one of my favorite coffee houses.

On my bedside table: I have a few more spooky books hanging around and a large stack of holiday reads. I also have some options to start reading for Dirty Book Month in February.

On my tv this week: Mostly Babylon 5. We’re trucking along in S3 already.

Listening to: A blend of K-Pop and metal tracks. I seem to go back and forth each day.

As I look outside my window: It’s a bit overcast, but definitely not as much as yesterday.

Right now I am: Making curriculum piles to fix them for the next two weeks.

On my bedside table: Still more spooky books… November is still spooky month in my mind.

On my tv this week: J and I have have made a ton of progress into Babylon 5 S2.

Listening to: I added a ton of new albums and old albums to my Apple Music this week. The genres are really all over the place. But I currently obsessing over Han’s new OST “Updraft.” It has a rock feel like I’m really digging.

Listening to: All the Stray Kids! They held their dominATE Celebrate encore concert this weekend. So of course I’ve been leaning on their music all week. So good!

Right now I am: Ready to leave for Junkstock! I had to miss May’s Junkstock, but thankfully my friend is free today to go.

As I look outside my window: It’s a bit overcast and rainy today. Thankfully the temperatures are going back down to acceptable fall temperatures.

Right now I am: Cleaning out the Enrichment Co-op supply bags. Most of these supplies get put into storage until next April. A few things will be used for Academic Co-op starting this week, so I need to pull those things out.

Thinking and pondering: What else do we need to prep for Academic Co-op on Thursday? I’m certain that I am missing something…

On my bedside table: More spooky reads and a stack of manga/manhwa.

On my tv this week: We finished a short season of Dimension 20 and caught up with our currently airing shows. I also watched another couple episodes of SKZ Code from 2023.

Listening to: I’ve been putting all of my Apple Music on shuffle. I definitely have a wide variety of music genres in there. I never know what is going to come up next. It’s fun.

As I look outside my window: It’s dark outside… the day really got away from me. So many tasks to be completed and errands to run.

Right now I am: Relaxing and watching some television before reading and bed.

On my bedside table: I made a small stack of spooky books to hopefully get to before November.

On my tv this week: Not much of anything. I was gone most nights this past week so no regular television watching. We did sneak in a few episodes of Only Murderers in the Building. I also watched some 2023 episodes of SKZ Code.

Listening to: All my playlists on shuffle. I’ve been alternating between K-Pop and Heavy Bangers.

On my tv this week: We watched a few spooky-ish movies. J also got me to start watching Babylon 5. He’s been asking for years.

Life Right Now #22

As I look outside my window: Bright, sunny, going to be extremely hot today. I think I will stay inside thank you very much!

Right now I am: Mentally preparing myself to help the boys get their closet in order. It’s a big task, full of reminders and nagging.

On my bedside table: I decided to return most of my checked out library books. Fan fiction is still the thing I want to keep reading all the time. But I do have some comic volumes to read (Jujutsu Kaisen, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Lore Olympus) and some book club selections I need to get to soon.

On my tv this week: J and I finished Resident Alien. Four seasons of pure fun! We also kept up with our currently airing shows (Foundation, It’s Always Sunny, Rick and Morty). I have one more episode of Hometown Cha-cha-cha. Hopefully I can find some time to watch today or tomorrow.

Listening to: Nothing new this week for me. Still obsessively listening to my K-Pop playlist and random Bring Me the Horizon albums. Very different I know, but I love both.

As I look outside my window: Bright, sunny, and hot day. I am not a fan of this weather. The humidity was killing me.

On my tv this week: We kept up with our currently airing shows. And we started The Sandman S2. I also started Hometown Cha-cha-cha for my lunch K-drama selection.

Listening to: All the K-Pop! Seungmin has a new song out and I am dying. Bang Chan wrote it for Seungmin to sing. I was almost in tears listening to it. I cannot wait for the songs written by HAN and Changbin to drop.

As I look outside my window: Bright and sunny yet again. And the temperature is supposed to climb. I’m staying indoors today.

Right now I am: Figuring out what to make for brunch. I really have no idea. I was supposed to buy cinnamon rolls at the store and completely forgot. Guess I need a Plan B.

On my tv this week: J and I have been watching our currently airing shows (Doctor Who, Welcome to Wrexham, Clarkson’s Farm). I also finished watching All of Us are Dead and this season of Below Deck: Down Under.

On my tv this week: J and I started watching S2 of Andor and S4 of Welcome to Wrexham and continued S1 of Murderbot along with some of our regular rotation shows. I started watching All of Us are Dead and Goblin with J was at a movie.

Looking around the house: The retreat pile in my breakfast area is growing. Getting closer and closer and staging all our supplies makes a pile. Otherwise the house is in good shape this week.

As I look outside my window: It’s bright and sunny although we are supposed to get rain later.

Right now I am: Smelling the banana bread that’s almost done baking.

Thinking and pondering: Why am I feeling so incredibly tired this week?

On my tv this week: We started watching the new season of Wrexham and started Murderbot along with watching the usual shows.

Thinking and pondering: When will people actually do what I requested? I would really love to get some retreat tasks taken care of, but I need their responses first.

On my tv this week: Once we got back home, we restarted our currently airing shows. We watched some Doctor Who, Leverage, Last Week Tonight, Game Changer, and Mythic Quest. I also restarted my Stray Kids content.

Listening to: All the K-pop. Mostly Stray Kids and ATEEZ, but also some other bands.

Right now I am: Making meatballs for tonight’s spaghetti.

Thinking and pondering: What clothes should I pack for me? The weather is going to be all over the place while we are in Indiana.
