Copper Ringed Reindeer

For today's card, i CASEd the lovely Paula Dobson @ Stampinantics. I loved making this card even if I had to fussy cut that reindeer. The piece of Cherry Cobbler DSP is my favorite from that pack. I love the subtle pattern.

#28 Old Olive Reindeer

Today's sketch comes from May 2015:

Oh my goodness I love love love this card! Something about the muted color palette and the fun layers really gets me. In fact, I loved it so much, that we did this card for November's stamp club.

#26 Layered Patterns

Today's sketch comes from October 2015:

Here's what I originally did:

Another great card using the Merry Patterns Stamp Set. I love the fun deer image in this set. I repeated my deer image and overlaid a fun fussy cut sweater to create my main stamped image. I thought about having a simple background or maybe an embossed layer, but ultimately I went with a fun Christmas tree pattern. From there, it was just a matter of stamping my sentiment and adding a piece of ribbon.

#25 Nordic Circles

Today's sketch comes from October 2016:

Here's what I originally did:

I bought a pack of the Nordic Noel DSP when it appeared on the clearance rack. The patterns were too good to pass up. And I still have some paper leftover. So I decided to make a card highlighting the great patterns. I love the repeating circles on this card. Lots of fun!

#24 Peekaboo Season

Today's sketch comes from September 2014:

This sketch is perfect for a peekaboo image. In this case, I repeated the Tis the Season sentiment multiple times to fake a larger image. After stamping the sentiment, I layered on my pieces, but something was missing. I added the stamped foliage to break up the large pieces of Old Olive. Finally I added a strip of gold sequins to finish out the card.

#21 Quilted Reindeer

Today's sketch comes from May 2014:

Today's card was the first of many Merry Patterns reindeer cards I made this month. I love the simple nature of the repeating circles with lots of texture and pattern. As a finishing touch, I added some rhinestones to the reindeer's antlers.
