Anything Goes! Celebrate!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card where anything goes! Every once in a while, I get the urge to make completely random cards, no design plan, no theme, just a card. This was my attempt at using no stamps but lots of fun DSP. I really wanted to feature the beautiful copper accents in the Joyous Noel DSP. Love how this one turned out!

Half a Dozen Donuts

Today’s cards have been sitting half done for months now. I had a whole stack of these unfinished cards and took a Saturday to knock them out. These cards feature leftover donuts from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I hate wasting little pre-cut elements, so I pulled out my stack of paper scraps and starting pairing paper, DSP, and donuts. I love the eclectic look of these cards.

Floral Happiness

Today’s card has been sitting half done for months now. I had a whole stack of these unfinished cards and took a Saturday to knock them out. I had stamped a ton of flowers and random panels and these were the only ones left. I had the great idea to fussy cut all these stamped and colored flowers, but my goodness, I dislike fussy cutting. At any rate, this turned out to be a cute card.

SWYL CASE #5

Today’s card is one of the Share What You Love CASEs that I featured at my Fall Bingo event. I slightly changed a few things from the example card, but kept it mostly the same. I CASE this beautiful card from Kristi Gray @ Stamping with Kristi.

SSINKCC54: Leaves and Tea

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the following colors:

44391605_10156253932421725_6878047248714825728_o.jpg

I pulled out the colors and pondered the direction of my card. I knew I wanted to use the Making Everyday Bright leaves to decorate and adorn something. I paired the leaves with the Time for Tea stamp set to create a card full of leaves and a cup of tea. I then finished out my card by adding more texture (embossing folder, ribbon) and visual interest.

  • Stamps: Timeless Textures; Time for Tea; Making Everyday Bright

  • Inks: Highland Heather; Smoky Slate; Crushed Curry; Cajun Craze

  • Cardstock: Country Lane DSP; Smoky Slate; Very Vanilla

  • Accessories: Very Vanilla Lace Trim

  • Tools: Spot of Tea Framelits; Seaside Embossing Folder

Birthday Note

Today’s card has been sitting half done for months now. I had a whole stack of these unfinished cards and took a Saturday to knock them out. This card is a play on a card design from last year. I switched out the main stamped image but kept the rest the same.

CASEing Cheryl

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to CASE a card from fellow Design Team member Cheryl Hamilton! I picked this cute baby kangaroo card to CASE.  I loved the layout and kept most of those elements. But I changed out everything else. I wanted to make a fun autumn card to celebrate the first week of November. My circle framelit doesn’t quite fit, but I love the elements of my main piece. If you look closely, you can see pops of Blackberry Bliss and Mint Macaron to balance out the palette.

November Crafting Goals

c-nov.png

A recap of last month’s goals:

  • Set up a craft area in the new house — Success. I’ll have to do a big of craft area tour soon.

  • Finish my random card projects — Finally wrapped up a stack of random half-done cards. Now I can move on to new stuff.

  • September MP Pages — Success! I got these done before leaving Indiana.

  • Set up my first Nebraska meet up — Success for planning it, fail for no one showing up

November Goals:

  • Schedule Christmas card classes and a crop — I want to get all these on the schedule and start prepping.

  • Catch up on MP pages — I’ve started my October pages and want to finish them out.

  • Get back into Project Life? — As I was puling out supplies I got the urge to dive back in. Now that we have a home photo printer, I may need to reassess my progress.

  • Plan out December Daily ideas — Need to prep!

  • Pull out and organize Christmas supplies — I want my Christmas cards done by the end of this month. Better get my supplies out now!
