Quilted Layers

Today’s card was created for a friend’s craft retreat. I wanted to so something fairly easy yet with lots of fun textures. I started with embossing a piece of same color cardstock as the card base. From there I added some pieces of fun DSP. Seriously love the colors and patterns in the new Needlepoint Nook DSP pack. From there I added some ribbon for more texture and fun sequins. I finished my card off with a great sentiment made even better by sponging on some ink to highlight a few words. In total, I made six different color and pattern combos for the craft retreat.

Galvanized Butterflies

Today’s card was inspired by all the Holiday catalog cards that featured a beautiful metallic embossed background piece. I had to recreate but with some fun spring elements! I love how the Quilt Top embossing folder raised this card up to the next level. Beyond the embossed piece, I wanted to feature my new favorite color: Highland Heather. It screams spring to me. Love it!

FMS372: Balmy Butterflies

Today’s card was created using Freshly Made Sketches #372. I just love the simplicity of the design. So many directions I could have gone!

For my card, I started with a strip of Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper and worked from there. I coordinated that strip with a piece of the Gingham Gala DSP in Balmy Blue and cute out some cute butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP pack (SAB item!). I finished off my card with a cute sentiment and some fun sequins. Love this card!

Butterfly Trio

Today’s card is a CASE from the Stampin’ Success magazine for demos. I saw this cute butterfly trio card and knew I had to recreate it! I did change out the background paper, adding my piece of Grapefruit Grove Patterned Paper and modified the dimensions a bit. But the basics of the card is the same!

Jar of Sweets

Today’s card is another from the How Sweet it Is Suite! I just love the fun colors of the suite and wanted to make a few candy-filled cards. This particular design is a CASE from the demonstrator magazine Stampin’ Success. I loved the look of layered pieces and highlighted colors. I change the sentiment piece and added some glitter enamel dots (from the annual catalog), but kept the design the same!

Thankful for You!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a gratitude card. I had to showoff the gorgeous Frosted Floral DSP in some way, but wanted to stay with the autumn colors. So I paired this with the Many Blessings stamp set and the leaves from Making Everyday Bright stamp set. Perfect pairing!

Trio of Ladies

Today’s cards have been sitting half done for months now. I had a whole stack of these unfinished cards and took a Saturday to knock them out. I had the Regal Rose card bases and smaller pieces cut for a previous card, but had sold the stamp set that I used for those cards. SO I improvised with a different stamp set. I stamped three different images from the Hand Delivered Stamp Set and had some fun coloring them.

  • Stamps: Hand Delivered

  • Inks: Basic Black; lots of colors

  • Cardstock: Regal Rose; Daffodil Delight; Whisper White

  • Accessories: Candy Dots (retired)

  • Tools: Lucky Stars Embossing Folder; Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder; Stripes Embossing Folder

Half a Dozen Donuts

Today’s cards have been sitting half done for months now. I had a whole stack of these unfinished cards and took a Saturday to knock them out. These cards feature leftover donuts from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I hate wasting little pre-cut elements, so I pulled out my stack of paper scraps and starting pairing paper, DSP, and donuts. I love the eclectic look of these cards.
