Happy to Have You

I’m back after taking a break from card making. 30 Days of Birthday cards was a lot of fun, but really took a lot of work. Plus The 100 Day Project started on April 2nd and I’ve been focusing on other projects. But don’t worry! I’m getting back into the swing of things. And I know I’ll be getting a ton of inspiration from this weekend’s Stampin’ Up! convention.

Today’s card is a quick little thing I whipped up for my Day 8 of #100DaysofCompleting. I love this fun pattern paper and had to use it as a background. But I didn’t want to make the card too busy and distract from the pattern. Enter the wonderful and simple Amazing Life stamp set. Love the big and customizable sentiments! After getting my sentiment right, I added some sequins and ribbon to finish it out.

Floral CASE

Today’s card is a CASE from Sharon Hashimoto Burket @ As the Ink Dries. I loved the clean and simple look of her card and set out to make my own version! Obviously I changed up the colors and embellishments, but I made sure to keep the basic design the same.

Tropical Cupcake

Today’s card is a fun and light birthday card. It took me a few times to get the hang of the cupcake stamp set layering, but I think this one came out nicely. I made the basic elements of my card but realized it was missing just something. Turns out I just needed to add some stamped element in the background to add the finishing touch!

Tropical Butterfly

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using our favorite DSP.  I always love working with SU's beautiful DSP, but sometimes packs fly under the radar for me until I see them in person. The Tropical Escape pack falls into that category. I liked it, but was lukewarm until it was in my hands and I could flip through the stack. Oh my goodness! This stack has such beautiful patterns! I knew I had to focus on this stack for today's card. I ended up creating a fancy folds card to feature a few of the patterns in the stack. After choosing my patterns, I chose a coordinating sentiment and a die cut a beautiful butterfly.
