Here's my randomness for the week:

• So into our new television show. It’s just so much fun. No wonder as the story is originally from Neil Gaiman.

• My May TBR is intense. I have so many books that I need (want) to read this month. Not sure how I’m going to fit them all in.

• I think a recipe treasure trove revamp might be in order. Feeling a bit stale with our rotation lately.

• I need to get working of the bookish recommendations for the retreat. A very daunting task, but I’ll get them done.

• After going on a big side quest, my office is so clean and pretty! You can actually walk all around without stepping over things.

• I started buying the nonperishables for the retreat. Aldi’s had a great deal on some dried fruit and I had to take advantage.

• Speaking of, I need to make a grocery list for our Ashfall trip next week. I’m in charge of part of our charcuterie board night and my family’s breakfast and lunch.

• Diving into a horror book this week and loving it. Just what I needed!

• I’ve got so many plans in motion for this summer and fall. Working on my big project management charts.

• Meal planning might be my least favorite reoccurring household task. It is never-ending.

• The weather is just not cooperating for coop this week… We couldn’t find a place and had to cancel. The location struggle has really gotten to me.

• Think it’s time to send a reminder email for the retreat attendees.

• My reading has slowed down a bit… probably for the best.

• The fake spring is lulling me into false sense of security.

• Nic Cage Quarterly is moving slowly. We’ve hit a string of very serious movies and just cannot watch them back to back.

• I’m doing much better with reading my own books along with the library selections.

• Last weekend’s reading weekend was the best idea that I have had in a long while. I completed two books and almost completed two other books.

• Nic Cage Quarterly is back this month! Hoping to watch at least 15 movies this month.

• The weather is holding out this week for more park time after coop.

• It’s looking like February is going to be another big month for reading.

• So so busy… I feel like we haven’t been home for school very much this week.

• The new season of Slow Horses is absolutely amazing! It’s so hard to wait each week for the next episode.

• I really need to drop off two bags of library books today. We need to slowly turn all our library books back in before we leave for Indiana.

• Couldn’t resist the holiday treats at Aldis this week. Oh so good.

• It’s friends and food day

• I made a mess of next coop semester’s schedule of teachers. Two many changes happening (comings and goings, plus an added class) have caused lots of needed changes. We’ll work it out, but I spent like 20 minutes Tuesday making a list of proposed changes.

• Speaking of… I really need to work on the homeschool plan for spring. I’m still really adjusting to Quentin being a first grader along with coop and activities.

• Blowing way past my reading goal for the year. I’ll be past 250 when December 31st rolls around. So much reading this year!

• This week has been nonstop with activities. I need a break.

• Nic Cage November has been an interesting experiment. Slowly making our way through.

• Planning a very quiet very small reading weekend for February. There’s some cute options within 2 hours of here.

• I still need to clean out the clothes in my dresser. It’s been slow going.

• I am exhausted! I don’t know what it is about this week, but I am so incredibly tired. Good thing we don’t have anything scheduled for this weekend.

• We had our 8th visit to Vala’s yesterday! I think we got our money’s worth for those season passes.

• I took advantage of Old Navy’s 50% everything online sale this week. Very excited to get a few new tops and pants along with Christmas pjs and fleece jackets for the kids.

• Sad that spooky movie month is almost over. But that means it’s almost…

• Nic Cage November! We are planning on doing a retrospective of his movies. J and I each get one veto, but otherwise, we are going to dive in.

• The boys’ birthday party is over… time to turn to all the other projects and tasks I put to the side for a few weeks.

• Diving deep into spooky movie month and spooky book month. I love this time of the year.

• We’ve now been to Vala’s five times this year. Hoping for a total of eight visits. Not tired of it yet!

• Hoping that the rain holds off this morning for coop. I really really don’t want to host in my house today.

Here's my randomness for the week:

• Our fridge died, became a room-temperature cabinet for 48 hours, but it now back to working after getting a new compressor. Cleaning out the entire defrosted freezer and main cabinet was terrible. 0/10 would not recommend… And now the fridge is incredibly empty and needs to slowly get filled.

• The boys and I finished our two read alouds yesterday. Starting some new ones today!

• We’re back to regularly scheduled coop today and I’m so glad to be back to a routine. We needed it.

• Getting very excited about our first visit to Vala’s next Wednesday! It’s truly my happy place!

• Today is our second coop of the semester. Thankfully the temperatures are a bit better this week. It was so hot last week!

• I think I need to permanently make Thursday leftover night. Coop really takes it out of me.

• I promised Q banana bread this week. Guess I need to add that to my to dos on Friday.

• Definitely need to do a library run tomorrow…

• Finally feeling better after the migraine (maybe something more?) that wouldn’t stop.

• I’m feeling so much better that the boys and I are on the road today driving to Indiana for a visit.

• Looking forward to the zoo, Coney Island, and Pizza Hut

• Afterward, the boys and I are doing another mini road trip on the way back home. We’ll be stopping in Dayton Ohio, Champaign IL, Decatur IL, Springfield IL (how have I never seen Lincoln’s tomb?), and Hannibal MO. Should be a fun mini trip.

• A week into July and I’ve read three books from my Unread Shelf. A record I think?

Here's my randomness for the week:

• Looks like the rain will hold off for our field day today. We had hoped that the weather would be warm enough for water play and it should be.

• Side note: the gluten free and vegan cookies that I bought for treat look amazing. I might have to try one myself.

• Book club on Tuesday night got a little ridiculous. We have created a new name for the retreat complete with a mascot and a uniform. I’m so excited that it’s only a few weeks away.

• Really need to put a pause on my library holds. It’s gotten a little out of control. The mini road trip and retreat offers the perfect opportunity to put those pauses on.

• Seems like the perfect week for Italian pressed sandwiches and gazpacho. I’m needing that summer fair.

• Thankful that the weather is holding out this week so we can still get outside for our events.

• Sometimes what I really need is a chocolate brownie.

• Feeling like I should see what new music releases are in my music app.

• Working on next year’s curriculum has invigorated me to finish this year’s curriculum. We’re so close!

• Need to set up a few ice cream meetups for coop friends this summer.

• Yesterday my entire body hurt. Scar tissues was very angry and radiated pain throughout my body. No fun at all.

• Being in bed half the day meant that I did read almost 2/3 of my current novel.

• Today I have to get back it with coop and errands. Still not feeling 100%, but need to push through.

• A little over a month to the bookish retreat. And I really need the break! I’m anticipating it so much.
