Here's my randomness for the week:

• How can we have so much food in this house and yet I have no idea what to make for dinner?

• Looking forward to my fall plans for homeschool and our social group. So many great ideas on tap these next few months.

• Multiple pool days this week are great but also tiring.

• I’m still reading, but will admit that I’ve been reading a ton of fan fiction instead of traditionally published books. I’m okay with that; I’ve found so many good ones. But it does mess with my reading wrap numbers.

• I’m way too hot and sticky this week… Thank goodness for pool days.

• I started an actual novel and I’m really into it. My reading may actually be getting back to normal.

• Loving my new(er) jean shorts. I actually like jean shorts again?

• Started a new-to-me K-drama and it’s so good! It’s Hometown Cha-cha-cha in case anyone was actually wondering.

• It’s Field Day! It’s always a super chaotic day, but we love doing this event every year.

• I may have gotten my reading mojo back this past week. I haven’t just been reading manga but also regular novels.

• I think it’s an iced coffee kind of day. Good thing I bought some concentrate earlier this week.

• Looking forward to my leftover kimchi jjigae for lunch today.

• Maybe I will try some other Korean recipe next week.

• Exploring the local art museum with other homeschool families is always so delightful. It helps that it was a beautiful day yesterday.

• Finally going beyond just Stray Kids in my Kpop obsession. But don’t worry, I still love my Stray Kids so much.

• I really need to focus on a brain dump this week to help get it all out. I have so many projects in progress and need to organize a bit.

• Went to the Asian Market yesterday for kimchi and came out with my new favorite treat: Green Tea Samanco! So good!

• Weather issues caused co-op to relocate indoors this week. Not the best start to our semester.

• I have completely fallen down the Stray Kids web series hole. So many shows that I had to search through the Wiki to get the complete list and the airing dates. Currently in 2018 working through some of these shows. (Now I know where a ton of famous clips come from.)

• The colony of bees that live in my head that get angry sometimes and cause me problems seems to have all died. I think I am in the middle of a colony collapse. Not a good place to be…

• I’m currently reading six books right now. It might be a bit much.

• A blizzard came through on Tuesday night, disrupting my plans for yesterday. No birthday dinner out for me. Instead, we have pushed it to this weekend at some point.

• Trying to take advantage of all the birthday offers from various places. We’ll see what I can work into my plans for Sunday.

Here's my randomness for the week:

• We caught another cold. The boys got over it fairly quickly; I have not. I’m still feeling pretty terrible, Just in time for our trip tomorrow. Really sucks.

• Between sickness and general crap, my depression really kicked in these past few weeks. I’ve slowly been sinking, frantically trying to keep myself afloat. My usual tricks hav not been working at all. Because of that… my broken brain has gone into obsession-mode.

• My current obsession — Stray Kids. They have been on repeat in my ears this week. Between the music and watching their videos and stupid TikTok videos, I’m staying somewhat afloat. But not really. It’s bad.

• The kids are sick again. 2025 is really not off to a great start. I really wish that we could move past this.

• On the bright side, we’ve got a ton of school work done while not going anywhere.

• And J and I have watched a ton of great television.

• I think we are going to start a podcast about our reading of War and Peace. Hopefully I can fit some prep work in this weekend.

• Thinking about what I should read next. I have no idea… So many options, but I think I want to lean into whatever mood I am in after finishing my current read.

• Academic Co-op is back on track and moving along into the spring semester. I’m very excited about helping the kids with their writing.

• I think that our terrible January might just be turning a corner. We’re healthy and school is going well.

• Yesterday’s visit to Joslyn Art Museum was delightful. We met a new friend and saw some great art. The museum is such a gem for our city.

• We finished a ton of shows this week and started a few new ones. Such great media available right now.

• Our last Academic Co-op meeting of the fall today. I’m ready for a bit of a break and reset for spring.

• I really need to ration out the holiday goodies. Aldi’s has way too many good things out right now.

• Looking forward to our book and bottle exchange this Saturday. I’m making spinach and artichoke dip!

• We did an outdoor homeschool activity yesterday and it was about 15 degrees. So so cold! But we made it through somehow.

• It’s just about packing time for our trip to Indiana.

• It’s the last week of enrichment co-op for the year! As sad as I am about the ending, I am also looking forward to a break.

• Printing our academic co-op math curriculum and I’m actually getting pretty excited about this. Big turn around from the scramble after a teacher dropped.

• Getting back into spooky reading and I’m loving it.

• Looking forward to Junkstock with a friend on Saturday!

• I got my reading back on track with a whole string of great atmospheric and/or spooky books!

• We started our weekly Vala’s visits. They make me so happy!

• Very strange co-op week. I went from a class of 12 to a class of 4 with basically no warning. This always happens at the end of the session. I should know better.

• A friend’s kid who was in the hospital is out and on the mend. So glad for that entire family.

• Getting excited for spooky season reading and visits to the pumpkin patches.

• The weather has taken a turn for the windy, cloudy, and cooler. Thank goodness! I am going to enjoy it for the next few days because next week it’s going to be back into the 90s.

• Tomorrow I’m leading a pond exploration for 23 kiddos ages 4 to 12. I foresee so much chaos!

• A friend asked some of us if an adult’s night at Vala’s would be something interesting. Oh hell yeah! My favorite place during my favorite time of the year and no kids with me. Sign me up! (I’m hosting a family campfire night there in October, but this is completely different!)

• One of my co-op supply bags has acquired multiple holes in the bottom. Duct tape to the rescue, but I’m sad. I may need to watch the website for sales and buy some new ones.

• Back to leading co-op. It went well today, but my goodness, it was humid.

• I’m a bit out of sorts today we we we out of the house from 9am to 6pm. That’s a long day away for us.

• Summer is winding down. Many of our places are closing (so early!) but we do have some things still on our bucket lists.

• Excited for the Museum of the Great Lakes in Toledo (in two weeks). I really like Maritime history places.

• Temperatures are back in the 90s with high humidity. I do not like.

• We met some new homeschool friends this week. Here’s hoping they come to another event soon.
