I don't got out for Valentine's Day, but if I did, I would love to wear this dress. I am always drawn to the 1950s silhouette. And this red is just a great color. Throw in a great dressy trench coat and some romantic accessories and you've got a great date night outfit.
FF #4: Winter and Spring
I'm loving the combination of spring and winter pieces. The boots, skirt, and cardigan belong in a winter outfit. But through in the pastel bag and bright top and you get a great spring outfit. I've been looking for a pair of booties for ages now... Every pair I try on pinches in weird areas. Guess I'll keep looking.

FF #3: Ski Lodge Date
If I ever found myself on a ski trip, this is what I would wear at the lodge with the addition of some comfy tights. That skirt looks amazingly comfortable and the sweater is perfect for curling up on the couch.

FF #2: Winter White
I love the look of wearing white in winter, but the trick is not to look too summery. This dress is structured enough to pull off for January. I also didn't want to do all white and overwhelm the dress. I love the contrast of these strong heels with delicate gold jewelry. And of course every winter outfit needs a great coat!

FF #1: New Year's Pattern Play
I love the girly bohemian look, but every once in awhile I go back to black, black, and more black. I love the subtle mix of patterns with the shirt and pants. Not super bold, but a great look. And I really want that bag!

FF #47: New Year's Cat
Just like Christmas, I decided to go with a different look for New Year's. Instead of sparkle, I went with shine. The stain top and leather skirt shine in their own ways. The look is pure rock n roll. The cat ear headband adds a bit of whimsy for a New Year's Eve party.

FF #46: New Christmas
For this year, I wanted to not go with red and green. Instead, I chose burgundy and gold. The color palette is still festive and elegant. I love the subtle details of the dress. The shine adds to the festive mood. The shoes are a great contradiction to the dress, but something about them just fits The rest of the accessories are simple yet complimentary. My favorite piece is the bracelet.

The perfect gown for a night out at the ballet. I love the detailing on the gown. It reminds me of the detail work in my hometown theater. I love staring at the ceiling there... The accessories are all just to accent the detailing.

FF #44: Updated Victorian
I started with this beautifully detailed blouse and just had to create an outfit around it. To me it screams something from the Victorian era. The shoes and bag add to the vintage feel. But the pants are all modern elegance. And those earrings are just the right touch.

FF #43: Thanksgiving Dinner
This would be the perfect thanksgiving dinner ensemble if I was actually going to a semi-fancy dinner. My family usually just has nice jeans and a sweater. The detailing on this dress is just perfect. For indoors, I paired it with this green sweater and for outdoors, the gorgeous brown jacket. The rest of the accessories play off the colors nicely to create a great complete fall outfit.

FF #42: Falling Leaves
Even though the temperatures are still warm here in Northern California, I'm definitely in the fall mood. I want to sip my cider and take pictures of pretty leaves. This outfit is my compromise. It has fall colors and fun leaf accessories, but is able to be worn even when it's not super cool. I especially loved those shoes. I need them!

FF #41: Prim and Proper
Here's my take on prim and proper Victorian-ish wear, but with major edge. I love the soft flowy material of the shirt paired the heavy twead of the skirt. Plus, check out that fun zipper detail! The accessories all scream rock n roll to me. Especially love the bag!

FF #39: Whimsical Garden
I stumbled upon this dress and had to create an outfit around it. The dress reminds me of beautiful fall garden full of mums. The dress is a complete work of art. I wanted to go simple with the accessories, but I found these great interesting pieces and had to include them. Those shoes are a work of art all by themselves.

FF #36: Garden Party
Summer is still around here in the Bay Area. In fact, it's been over 90 yesterday and today. I wanted to make another fall outfit, but just couldn't do it. Instead, I went with something light and breezy perfect for our late summer days. I started with the top because of the beautiful detail around the neck. The pants were a complimentary choice playing off of the vaguely floral design. From there, I wanted some fun accessories (the shoes and bracelets!) and a little pop of color (handbag). I finished the look with a cardigan just in case you live in a place that currently isn't hotter than the sun.

I love the effortless look of this outfit. Start with a comfy dress, add some simple boots and an outerwear piece (leather jacket for cold weather, short sleeve sweater for warmer weather), and you get a great put together fall outfit. The bag and bracelets are nice added touches.

FF #34: Wedding Style
Once again we (well baby and I) are heading to a weeding this weekend. This was another one of my initial picks. Unfortunately the dress sold out in my size before I found it. This wedding is being held in a church with a banquet hall reception. I still wanted something long, dark, and easy to wear. I love the bright color and coverage on this dress. Even though I don't usually wear gold, this color just begs to be paired with gold accessories. Those shoes are to die for, but way too expensive for my tastes. And the earrings are very elegant even though I could never wear them (no pierced ears). Overall a very elegant and classic look.

FF #33: Lounging Style
When it comes to days completely in the house, I admit that I don't put any effort into my outfit. I'm going for comfort... This is the perfect comfort outfit. Loose, soft pants, a generic tee, chucks (in case i need to get the mail), and a tote bag for my crap. Just perfect.
